2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
Montana State's defense is supposed to be way better this time around and they have FargoDome experience...

Well, our offense is not way better

Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
I know I am frustrated with the ISU game but I just can't see that we win the next two or even the next game with the effort or focus that was shown within the program today.

Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
We have a week to step up multiple aspects of the game. The level of play we saw today is not going win against the Cats at the Dome and would get smoked against JMU.

It would get us killed vs Weber too.

Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
In the past the Bison teams have upped their games in the playoffs. This year's team has done just the opposite.
-
Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
when will the game channel/time be announced?
-
Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
As long as our guys on the sideline can feel the groove and dance/wave their arms to a hellish hip hop/rap song played in the Fargodome, even though we're engaged in a nailbiter of a close game...I'm good.

If we score 9 and give up three we win. Everyone will bitch. McFeely isn’t right very often but he is right about us Bison fans be entitled, spoiled brats.

I'm being told by trusted sources that the coaches are content with today's performance and will not be making any changes nor attempt to get better.

It appears the play calling today was designed to suck Montana State into the trying the same defense strategy next week. The same trusted source told me the Bison will revert back to the triple option next week catching Montana off guard and running up the score.

He should be a paid brand ambassador for ND tourism.
Tough to take Duhamel seriously in the commercials...but with mullet kid...ND legendary would take off no doubt

Agreed. And instead of paying Josh like 375,000... mullet kid would do it for 37.50

If they played a team that had a QB that could actually throw they very well might have.

Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
Im sure today was just a wake up call and were waiting to open the playbook to not give anything away

Lol. This could be posted the last 3 weeks.
I say the same thing but I'm starting to doubt if we hear the alarm bells.

Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
Does any think that maybe the play book is open and this is what we have?
-
Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
Nope. There was a lot of the playbook that didn’t come into play today.

I don’t see how this could be the case considering what we have seen the other 13 games this year...

Re: 2019 Semifinals: NDSU v Montana State
Hey, just making a coherent, matter-of-fact post here, not trying to be a troll. After watching NDSU’s last two games, I think this is a very winnable game for MSU this year. I did not say that last year on this board. We have been improving every game for the last 6 games, I truly see it as peaking. Our QB Rovig is hitting his passing stride and our run offense has been very dynamic. Our defense is playing on fire and very tough against the run. I absolutely don’t think this will be a blow out either way and I think the Cats have a real shot here.

No, we have seen the play book opened before. For some reason, it has been closed back up. Remember, Entz says, he want people to defend the entire field. Last week and today, they only had to defend the middle of the line.

I don't expect any games this time of the year to be "regular" season blowouts. Every game will be close this year based on the quality of the teams remaining. The 2013-17 years are over. FCS has got the Bison message. Play physical or go home. Today was such a play physical game. It is amazing to me that the STREAK continues. Win by any means or go home. 1-0 every week means more than you think!
Code Green drives 2019 season while "freshman" staff and offense learns the ropes. See you in Frisco!

If the Bison play like they did today, you might be right. I suspect we’ll see a different game plan and effort out of them next week, though...

In a wierd way it's kind of refreshing to have a game where doubt is creeping in and the Bison aren't monster favorites. This is the most unsure I've been of a Bison victory since the January 2018 natty against JMU. I hope this leads to a good fan turnout next weekend but I also hope this puts a chip on the shoulders of the Bison offense, especially the O-line. At the end of the year this kick in the rear by the Redbird defense might be just what the doctor ordered for the Bison offense.

Hopefully Tyler learned some lessons on play calling today. Should be a great game next Saturday.

That’s similar to what Entz said after last game. And keep in mind we had two picks returned to the red zone last week that resulted in short field/easy scores. Absent those, we only score 14-17 points against Nichols.
And we scored 9 today ....
