Re: NCAA Men's & Women's 2019 Outdoor Championships
Talked to Coach Larson at the airport today. He is extremely pleased at how the weekend turned out for the Herd.

C'mon Izzy, this is the weakest reporting I've seen in a long time...even for an amateur. What did you expect Coach Larson to say?

You make a valid point.
He's the kind of guy that would smile even if his nads were in a vice.

Just curious. Were you carrying a vice when you were talking to him?

The qualifying standard for the shot put is 20.3m (66 feet and about 7 inches)
The qualifying standard for the discus is 60.75m (199 feet and about 4 inches)
So Payton has already qualified.
On the women's side, the qualifying standard for the shot put is 17.75m (58 feet and about 3 inches)
Moton is close, but not in.
Kari Wolf was close in the javelin too: 177 ft, she threw 172.

Just throwing this into an NCAA thread.
New Hayward ain't gonna look like old Hayward. Drove past the site a couple days ago and was not expecting that. I'm sure it will look great when finished, but it currently looks like the skeletal ribcage of some enormously massive, pre-historic sea-beast that died on its back.
Old Hayward was a relatively traditional complex; the new one is not.
