It was a joke. You have made your opinion on this quite clear.
I understand. It makes more sense to want Augie to stay D2 so your coaching staff can continue to poach our D2 players to help your program win.

Too many recent grad working at Starbucks with massive student loan debt. Recent HS grads (meaning their parents) are getting wiser about the ROI of a college degree. The major matters. How much debt you incur matters. Sometimes it can be more beneficial to go to a tech/trade school and start off a technical career at $70k with zero debt than it is to have a degree from a liberal arts college with $50k+ in debt.
St. Thomas has an opportunity to position themselves for the future at this point.
I'll believe when it happens. Until then, I'm pretty pessimistic about Minnesota having more than one DI team.

McFeely not pulling punches. Wonder if Concordia's president cares about the bad press?

Without the MIAC I don't know why they would want to remain in DIII.
The WIAC has a couple conditional sports members that are private schools.
Re: MIAC trying to force out St Thomas
hot rumor from my UST brother:
UST told the MIAC to kick them out (once they realized this might become a reality)
That way UST can ask NCAA for a hardship, then opt for D1 classification/transition in 2021 when they leave the MIAC
Pioneer = Football (keeps st johns rivalry, maybe Bethel)
Summit or Horizon for all over sports
