Please tell me you are not equating an NFL team with the athletic department of a University. Rofl.

Then donate ... rather than bitching, but you won’t. You’re too involved in “you” to do so.
I have direct phone lines to NDSU ADMINS. PM me if you want the numbers so you can let them know you would donate thousands to help move up, and give them access to take the $$ directly out of you account. They won’t fleece you, they will say say thank you.

Why would we give any money otherwise? lets say I gave a billion dollars how many more FCS games per year would we win over what we do now?
Because without seeing increased donations, they will not consider a move up. I realize it is a chicken vs egg scenario, but the first thing that needs to happen is facility improvements followed by coaches wages. So I suggest joining team makers, go to the lunches/events. Get to know some of the donors. Lobby for their support and show them that you are putting your money where your mouth is.
Otherwise you are essentially lobbying for socialism with the "We want shiny new things that we can't afford so instead we'll hit up the rich people to pay for it for us!"
Now, if that is truly what you're lobbying for, that's fine. (I'm not trying to go political on this topic) Just be aware that you sound like Bernie Sanders with your "FBS for all" banter.
Lobbying the fans on this message board will do nothing to move the needle at NDSU and their decisions whether or not to pursue a move up. Donations and talks with the University will go much further. Otherwise we are just all going to be talking in circles on this subject.
Put up or shut up.

Anyone???? Why no invites? Why have this conversation for over 10 years when you cant move up????
We are talking about it because there hasn't been a lot else to talk about. We've covered everything else and have played one game this year where we could actually talk football and matchups. (SDSU) Other than that, most of the discussion on here this season has been about playing in Minneapolis, the Oregon game, and an FBS move. Thankfully we have the Egriz thread now to fight about it. Personally, I can't wait for the Semi's and Finals so we can talk Football again. If we win the chipper in Frisco, this board will be insufferable during the off season.

Well said, and I’m willing to donate more if it means it will help us move up. Not gonna lie ... what I donate now hurts a bit in the pocket, especially when I think about saving for my daughter’s education and retirement.

Its insufferable now.
This subject in itself and all of its reincarnations has been going on for over 10 years. All with the same people with multiple aliases doing the trolling.

Dallas Cowboys!
Remember what I said was needed for moving up? Support (and not just at the athletic level) and money. NDSU lacks these items while the Cowboys are swimming in them.
In regards to publicly releasing a plan, why would they do that? In a State that is ran by anti-higher education people (stating this as fact and not being political), do you think it would be wise in this area to be releasing a plan that needs more money from it population? Remember what happened to Joe Chapman?
There's a reason why NDSU fans/alumni are asked to donate so much. I personally can't list by memory how times I keep donating to numerous emails and letters for separate NDSU needs, but it is a lot. I think I'm around $600-700/year, but nowhere near the big the donations NDSU is getting from much wealthier donators like CAS. NDSU needs a lot more from us fans/alumni if they can afford to do so. Unfortunately, our fanbase/alumni isn't huge, but I don't believe a good percentage donate back once they are done with school.
Big time schools in the FBS don't have these issues when it comes to getting support from their respective State and City along with their fanbase/alumni. This is a major reason why they are FBS and we are not.

I call him Jackie Moon since that is what his athletes (according to my coworker who wrestled for him) called him at UNC. So far, he hasn't beat my arse for it.
