So it was the person in red coat or pink coat on the field telling the refs that the tv stations were back from break?? Who screws up that sort of thing don't they have the production crew headset on saying going on in 30 -10 - 5,4,3,2,1 or whatever they do??
Dom blamed midco but who really is at fault? Midco production?
Sent from my Pixel 3a XL on a bullet train from Hillsboro.
Re: WDAY Not Crap Production (hopefully)
I switched to Midco later in the game and never missed a play.
Re: WDAY Not Crap Production (hopefully)
I have some inside info as to what happened. Because this was UNDs home game, Midco was the primary broadcaster of this game and provided the people on the field for TV timeouts. WDAY, because of their contract, was also allowed to broadcast. The length of commercial breaks for the two was different. Before the game, WDAY talked with Midco about this, because WDAY commercial breaks were longer. Midco said that was OK and that they would wait after breaks for WDAY to come back from break. However once the game started, that did not happen. I am not blaming either side. I am just letting you know the facts of what happened.

I was watching the Midco broadcast (and listening to Bison radio) and Midco was missing plays - the one I can remember is the Dominic Gonnella run to start the 4th quarter.

WDAY was terrible. I never complained about KVLY as they were not perfect but it improved year over year. This was a terrible production today.I had to switch after each commercial to not miss plays. Plus why is there no pregame show? All I know is WDAYs production in the 80’s was better. Plus I have to say I like Dom for Hs BB but to hear him yell all game long gets old. I like his excitement for big plays but tone it down a little on a three yard gain.

The pregame show is in the am because they figure that people would rather watch more football than listen to a couple of yokels yack for 30 minutes or an hour. I like because it’s a nice alternative when Spurs are playing crap football which is pretty much always.
Re: WDAY Not Crap Production (hopefully)
Thats on the team responsible for cutting back to the broadcast. If the game is on, cut back to the game.
