Hes already listed as the 3rd best QB so it's not like he has a ton of direction to go. More room to drop than go up

Number one pick in 2019 Kyler Murray: 35 mil fully guaranteed
Number 10 pick in 2019 Devin bush: 18.8 mil fully guaranteed
Last pic of the first round was 10 mil
So yeah, only 16.2 million in the line. If a guy believes in himself...

Right but what if he drops to the 2nd round? Trying to learn an offense in a few months isnt a recipe for success. Trey still probably doesnt know the NDSU offense to its fullest. That takes 3 or 4 years

Guy who blew out his knee and works claims at State Farm 40K a year....
the downside is tremendous...

If Trey goes through the draft process he will work his way to top 10.

Yep. You have to get your money when you get a chance.
An 8 figure contract, fully guaranteed. You'd be a moron to turn down that kind of money. And then if you can make it to your second contract and you're a savvy negotiator, you have literally generational wealth before you're 30.

But again, at this point why? He's projected top 10, if that stays the course there's nothing to prove by transferring.
If anything the thought might be an even higher draft by playing another year. A lot of critics right now think he's a one year wonder. If he puts 3 years together at or near this level we could be talking first overall.
Ohio State has a freshman QB who was the #2 qb prospect in the country, another freshman who was the #14 qb. I don't think they'd pursue TL if they have faith in either one of those guys because they'd likely transfer.

All he'd need to do is hire a lawyer. The NCAA backs down pretty quick anytime that happens. Notre Dame's backup just transferred to BC and got a waiver, Justin Fields got a waiver, etc.

They might.
I presume he is going to be gone after this year IF he gets the right draft grade or whatever the NFL calls it. Awfully difficult to tell a kid that he should come back and play again if thats the case. He might benefit too this year if there is no football. Usually a couple FBS guys pop up each year who for whatever reason (first year starting, got beat down as a freshman/sophomore, etc) who end up going high after having a good year.
Right now Trevor Lawrence and Justin Fields are the two big ones, but I would assume there are a couple others who will greatly benefit from playing this year. If they don't play and only have 2019 tape to look at, well....could be very good for Mr. Lance.

Contrary to popular belief, TL is not ready for the NFL.

Maybe he is, and maybe he isn't. A year ago I wouldn't have believed he was ready to win every trophy a freshman QB could possibly win in the FCS.
