Also, more Gulley.....
Yeah there was a lot of praise for Jung but I really didn’t see it and quite frankly I don’t believe I want to see anymore of him. An upgrade would be nice.

I'm sure Jung is a great fella but I think his career for the Bison should have consisted of Special Teams and as a depth guy. No offense meant to the guy as I'm sure he's given it his all and I respect that.

This is correct

Jung is a great leader, smart and a future coach... but a marginal talent. He was clearly starting because of his system knowledge while the young guys like Darrius Givance and Noah Taylor learn. I hope Givance has a great off seasson because the faster he gets on the field, the better our defense is
Re: Thoughts On The 2024 Season
Also I think our latest recruiting class is awesome and is full of tall developmental guys. But many will need a year or 2 with Kramer, so we will need some transfer portal guys.
Re: Thoughts On The 2024 Season
Can anyone bring some clarity to the whole, "Jung must be replaced as starter," stuff?
What did he do wrong? What didn't he do, that he should have?
I recall a couple of plays in the middle of the season where he appeared to have been the problem, but that's about it.
2nd on the team in solo tackles, 3rd in total tackles, 2nd in interceptions. If Wisniewski wasn't all world, he would look even better.
Jung will be hard for anyone to beat out for the job, but ya, if Noah or someone else can standout that much and win the job, that would be great. Remember, this is free safety, the guy needs to have decent raw speed.

Might just be anecdotal because I don't watch it that closely on every play but it seemed like teams threw it in his direction a lot more than at the other DBs. I'm guessing that wasn't coincidental.

Definitely seemed opposing teams game planned off his lack of speed in coverage.

Lack of speed, poor positioning and inability to wrap up. He's probably a great kid and a good teammate but he's not good enough for a D1 DB.

Just overall lack of athletic ability IMO.
