In plus 5.
Been there once, never again!
You'll drink the two bars in town out of booze and its just painful to watch a game on that turf...snow or no snow!
Have to be in NYC, so I'm out for this one.
Definitely stay in Spokane! You'll thank me later.
Coeur d' Alene is a fun place in the summer/fall
Was hoping for a TM same day charter. But thats not going to happen. So at this juncture we dont know.
I'm in, but not sure where people are staying or partying though.
A Bison fan "Rudy" who lives in Spokane is trying to set up a bar event. I think he said it's called Red Lions BBQ Sports Bar in Spokane.
It's close to the River Park. And there are lots of bars around it. He is going to put some info together about where to stay and where to not stay, said there are some bad areas.
Group of us are looking at taking Amtrak out. Party on the train on the way out. Could be as many as 10.
Are they fbs?
No?
Out
About 4-6 weeks after I move in the opposite direction so I'm probably going to get this one at home.
The game is September 9th at 1:00pm Pacific time. Bring your sunglasses!
Classes at EWU don't start until Sept 20th, so don't expect many students in beautiful Cheney.
Exactly. What a shithole. Don't spend your money there. They won't appreciate your business. (Admittedly, I'm still annoyed with my experience from 2010...)
I will be there. I think MontBison will as well. I'll be hanging out in Spokane, which can be fun with the right situation. Plan on awesome weather that time of year and an isolated tailgate in Cheney, assuming that the host school/fans won't be very welcoming.
If you are also planning an extended vacation in the PNW, there's a ton of stuff within 5 hours to enjoy, including bluebird snow skiing (yes, even that time of year on Mt. Hood), world-class whitewater rafting, amazing hiking/camping, fantastic beaches, surfing, whale watching, sailing, great golf, the San Juan Islands of the Puget Sound, and awesome city activities in Portland and Seattle. Oh, and weed is also legal in both Oregon/Washington if you partake...
Just booked my room at the Double Tree - Spokane City Center. Lots of places to eat and drink within walking distance.
The Davenport Hotels are the nicest in town.
In X 4. Tickets were $400. out of Mpls.
I was on the charter when we flew out there. The bus pulls up to the bar. Im one of this first people in the bar and I notice they are still stocking the bar as they didnt do it the night before. Now realize we had 2 buses full. I told the lady---I hope you have more help and she says---we will be fine. By that time the doors bust open and they were swamped. We were only there an hour or so and some never got a drink or food.
Then flying out people were trying to get something to eat at the airport and they had one lady making pizzas. And all she did was complain that she didnt have any help.
They suck.
ps I will say the concessions at the tampon were pretty darn good.
The Eagles Pub is even worse now than it was then. Locals pretty much eschew it; they don't play nice with other businesses in town. Service sucks. There are a couple other bars downtown but they're small.
I'm probably going. You may see me wearing my welding helmet.
