Re: A new and better FBS thread
but NDSU could TAKE in better kids if they were FBS and not fcs.
AND NDSU would be able to pluck great regional players qnd recruits
its such a no brainer at this point
sadly. Larson has no desire or balls and Bresciani is getting married and ready to sail off to retirement

So you're a Zeb Noland fan? :)

Iowa/Iowa State south.
duhhhhhhhh. ITS TIME. FCS IS DEAD

NDSU lost at least 6 recruits to the MAC in the 2021 class, so nothing new here.
Northern Illinois has been active in the Omaha area for at least a couple years. Northern Illinois has 2 coaches formerly of SDSU, Eric Eidness & Dan Jackson. Dan Jackson, in particular, I remember recruiting Nebraska for Stig & the Jackrabbits. Remember NebraskaJacks?
As the aforementioned recruit is a class of ‘22, there is plenty of time for things to change, more FBS offers to happen......
Since he is a Nebraska high school player, what do you think will happen if the Cornhuskers offer???
Or even Iowa/Iowa State/Kansas State/Minnesota???
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Even if NDSU moves up they'll lose some guys to MAC schools. P5 blue bloods lose out to mediocre P5's or decent G5's. This shit happens to everyone at every level. Guys make decisions based on many reasons that are outside of NDSU's control
Re: A new and better FBS thread
if NDSU is FBS we absolutely INCREASE OUR TALENT POOL ON DAY 1
You scoop the best 3-4 fcs schools instantly and Feed off of U of Minn/U of Wisc/U of Iowa/U of Nebraska recruits that aren't 4star and 5 stars!
Re: A new and better FBS thread
I think there is a wave of conference realignment coming that may be favorable to NDSU. In the past, the footprint of broadcast TV viewership was very significant. In a subscription world, it doesn't matter where your fans are, as long as they are willing to pay. You knuckleheads are everywhere (I can't believe all the places I've seen Bison banners) and willing to pay. Ironically, it may take a few down seasons to convince conferences that your fanbase will stay strong for the long run.
P.S. BYU may be the most attractive team when it comes to conference realignment because of the global Mormon fanbase.

absolutely cypanth
Re: A new and better FBS thread
BYU certainly would be the top draft pick of the Mountain West
to replace Boise State, on the small chance Boise leaves the Mountain West.
Would BYU do it......?
