Pelini Brothers & Youngstown State active in Nebraska with an offer to
2018 TE Bryce Stai - 6' 3" 230 - Firth NE (Norris)
Also has a Western Michigan offer
South Dakota and SDSU had early offers to Bryson Williams
Lincoln, NE (Lincoln Southeast), DT, 6' 2" 255 (2018).
Kansas State has now offered Williams.
Both the Coyotes & Jacks have also offered Phoenix Sproles,
Robbinsdale Cooper HS, WR, 6' 0" 175.
I think Sproles has taken an unofficial (?) visit to NDSU.
Brevyn Spann-Ford, St Cloud, MN (Technical Senior) (2018)
WR, TE, 6' 7" 220
Now offered by South Dakota, joining SDSU.
Also has a D1 offer from Iowa State and a basketball offer from NDSU.
With all the offers PJ Fleck has thrown out there in recruiting , 150ish,
am surprised Minnesota has not offered Spann-Ford for football.
Phoenix Sproles with additional offers - Air Force, Princeton and Montana StateQuote:

Sacramento State QB transfers to Fighting Hawks.
Am assuming he has to sit out a transfer season.

Fighting Hawks also following in on recruiting a dual-threat QB from IllinoisQuote:
Nate Ketteringham, a transfer from Big Sky Conference member Sacramento State, has verbally committed to play with the Fighting Hawks, he confirmed Friday night.
Ketteringham has two seasons of eligibility remaining.
The 6-foot-3, 200-pound San Diego native started 15 games for the Hornets the past two seasons.
He totaled 3,387 yards, 24 touchdowns, 15 interceptions and had four 300-yard games.
The dual-threat quarterback also ran for 267 yards, scoring four touchdowns and averaging 15.7 yards per carry.
Owen Goldsberry (6' 1" 195) Hersey Arlington Heights, IL.
Goldsberry also has offers from Indiana State, South Dakota, SDSU, Southern Illinois, Western Illinois
Fighting Hawks and SDSU battling over OL Ron Audette, 6' 3" 295, Elk River MN.
Now New Mexico and Northern Illinois have stepped in with offers.
Audette is also a 2018 NDSU interest.
Fighting Hawks went into Sioux Falls with the 1st offer to LB Seth Benson, 6' 1" 205 (Washington HS).
SDSU has now also offered.
Benson is also a 2018 NDSU interest. (LB Dan Marlette and OL Austin Kuhnert's high school)
Speaking of SF Washington, both SDSU and USD have offered that school's TE, Zach Heins, 6' 6" 230.
Indiana State with recent offers in Minnesota, including Phoenix Sproles..........:)
Sage Booker - DeLaSalle HS - RB 6'0 180
Jevon Brekke - DeLasalle HS - RB/LB 6'2 185
@CoachGrantOlson
South Dakota also offers Sioux Falls Washington LB Seth Benson. (SDSU, Fighting Hawks).
The 'Yotes also offered St Paul Highland Park DB/ATH Josh Aune (2018 NDSU offer)
Indiana State also offers Mitchell Kartes (St Michael-Albertville MN) (2018 NDSU offer)
Interesting move by Coach Olson, can think of at least 4 S/ATH types that NDSU has offered
(Jackson Enz, James Kaczor, Josh Aune and Kartes). Would guess the Bison can't bring in all 4, 2 would be my guess,
so perhaps ISU can pick off 1 or 2 of the 4. Isn't St Michael-Albertville also coached by a former Bison?
SDSU and the Fighting Hawks fighting over another player - OL Nathan Boe of Lakeville North (Greg Menard's high school).
Jevon Brekke - DeLasalle - now offered by Northern Iowa and by Navy
Big day for SDSU yesterday. Jacks get 2nd 2018 HS commit, Mason McCormick from Sioux Falls Roosevelt (6' 4" 285 OL).
They are also getting a FBS transfer, Grant Schmidt, who will be eligible in 2018
http://www.argusleader.com/story/blo...sfb/102249584/Quote:
Another former Rough Rider, former Ohio State recruit Grant Schmidt, is transferring to SDSU. Schmidt spent last year at the University of Cincinnati after leaving the Buckeyes, but has now chosen to come home and reunite with former high school teammates Taryn Christion and Chase Vinatieri, SDSU’s quarterback and kicker, respectively. The 6-6, 300-pound Schmidt was a four-year starter at Roosevelt, a three-star recruit at left tackle and the first player ever from South Dakota to play for Ohio State...........
..........As for Schmidt, Nelson said he's expected to have to sit this season out even though he’s transferring down from the FBS level, because it’s his second transfer. But Nelson also said that due to a coaching change at Cincinnati there’s a good chance Schmidt could eventually get a year back and play three seasons at SDSU.
The Jackrabbits' 1st high school commit is also an OL, 6' 6" 270 Garret Greenfield from Rock Valley Iowa
Redshirt year at Ohio State. Then he transferred to Cincinnati last year and had to sit out the year. In December, 2016, Cincinnati hired Luke Fickell as its new head coach -- Fickell had been the Ohio State Defensive Coordinator/Associate Head Coach. I'm not sure of the impact of the Cincinnati head coach hire but Schmidt decided to leave that program. Looks like he will be sitting out this season at SDSU unless the rules permit him to play because of the change in head coach at Cincinnati. It remains to be seen whether he can play college football -- he has the physical attributes but time will tell if he has the desire.
Western Illinois offers DE Josh Dinga 6' 5' 225 Sun Prairie WI (2018 NDSU interest)
Dinga also has an offer from Northern Iowa
Western Illinois also offers RB/LB Jack Anderson - Academy Holy Angels MN (also Navy, Air Force, UM Mankato offers)
DE Josh Dinga (Sun Prairie WI) now offered by Illinois State (Indiana State, UNI, W Illinois)
DB/WR Mitchell Kartes now offered by UNI (NDSU offer among others)
UNI also offers Lakeville North OL Nathan Boe (SDSU, Fighting Hawks)
Western Illinois offers Homestead (WI) LB Mike Bruner
Prior Lake DL Zach Whaley offered by Stephen F Austin (NDSU interest)
Last minute pre-honeymoon offer - Indiana State offers LB Ikenna Ujuagu (Benilde St Margaret HS)
NDSU RFR WR Cole Jacoby is from BSM HS in the twin cities
Good news bad news day for Jacks.
Good news is their 3rd commit so far, TE Zach Heins, 6' 6" 230, Sioux Falls Washington. Harris also had an offer from South Dakota.
Bad news is that OL offer Nathan Boe, 6' 4" 250, Lakeville North HS, got a camp offer from the Gophers and committed to them. That is the Gopher's 17th verbal so far, good to see them filling up so soon! Boe also had an offers from Northern Illinois, UNI, Western Illinois and the Fighting Hawks.
Sioux Falls Washington is OL Austin Kuhnert's and LB Dan Marlette's high school.
Lakeville North is DE Greg Menard's high school.
Northern Iowa receives a verbal from Caden Houghtelling - 6' 5" 240 TE/DL/Ath - Cambridge Nebraska
Houghtelling had been on visits to NDSU & SDSU. Looks like UNI was 1st FCS offer
Fighting Hawks offer Justin Holm - 6' 6" WR - Lincoln Southwest (NB)
Looks like his 1st offer
The FH's also offered another tall WR - 6' 4" Garett Maag of St Croix Lutheran
Maag has a preferred walk-on offer from the Gophers.
Another WR offer by the Fighting Hawks is to C. J. Seigel of La Crosse Logan (WI)
Fear The Tree!!!
Indiana State on fire in getting commits. (according to their board)
10 commits so far, 6 on June 24th alone, including 3 from the state of Illinois.
C. J. Rutherford - ATH - Chicago Lindblom (NDSU offer)
Giavion Mason - FS - Kankakee IL (Bishop McNamara)
Tierre Turner - DT - Chicago Simeon
So far none of the recruits who have verballed are from either Minnesota or Wisconsin.
New Indiana State Head Coach Mallory & Co are off to a fast start. Will be interesting to see if they pattern themselves after Coach Bohl and Wyoming's system and style of play.
Yea! Fighting Hawks get their 2nd verbal, S Kadon Kauppinen, Sun Prairie WI
Had an offer from Winona State. Ran a 4.5 at the WFCA Combine.
1st FH verbal was OL Rain Slater, 6'3“, 315, 5.1, Winnipeg (St. Johns)
Sioux Falls Washington LB Seth Benson was SDSU's 4th verbal.
They have now offered OL Joe Schreiber, 6' 3" 285, Eden Prairie MN.
Schreiber just earned a camp offer from NDSU a few days ago.
Fearing The Tree Part II.....
Now my North Dakota math counts 18 commits for Indiana State and new Head Coach Mallory.
Maybe Coach Olson can work on his golf game this summer a little more than previously planned.....:)

There is a lot of really good football talent in Indiana and they are also close to Louisville, Chicago and St. Louis and not terribly far from Cincinnati, Milwaukee, Memphis, and Nashville. There are a lot of D1 schools in that footprint, but it also means there are plenty of kids that fall through the cracks if you are good at finding them. And even better if you are good at developing them. It's surprising IU and Purdue haven't done better with the improvement of Indiana high school football.
There are some legitimate programs on the commit list from Indiana. One kid to watch this Fall is Titus McCoy. He doesn't look like he should be a tough back, but he is strong and quick and made several good defensive teams (including the one Michael Tutsie played for) look bad. He was injured most of last year and his back up earned a scholarship to Louisville.

Fighting Hawks get that 3rd verbal! C. J. Siegel - La Crosse WI (Logan)
He is a good basketball player, currently a WR but the FH's are projecting him as a CB - 6' tall.

Northern Iowa offers Brendan Cook - DE - 6' 4" 235 - Libertyville IL
(2018 NDSU offer)
UNI also offers RB Delonte Harrell, 5' 8" 175, Marist HS Chicago
SDSU offers QB/WR J'Bore Gibbs, 6' 3" 205, Phillips HS, Chicago.
Gibbs was (is???) a 2018 NDSU interest
Did SDSU get the next Taryn Christian after missing on Trey Lance?
Recruited as a QB is Jackrabbit commit J'Bore Gibbs - 6' 3" 205 - Chicago Phillips HS.
He had an Eastern Michigan offer at one time, but it was pulled when EMU got another player to commit.

2019 QB J'Bore Gibbs (@JBoreGibbs) of Phillips is a kid to watch for.
Holds an EMU offer, at 6'3 204, ran a 4.64 40, 4.03 shuttle, 9'5 broad
4:19 PM - 3 May 2017
SDSU also gets a verbal from Illinois in S Nick Garlisch, St. Charles East.
South Dakota gets possibly its 1st verbal (SDSU has approx 13)
- Trevor Shohoney - OL - 6' 4" 285 - Franklin WI
Also had offers from Army, Buffalo, Illinois State, Northern Iowa & Western Illinois
Interesting to hear USD verbals that far behind SDSU. Yotes keep improving but it must be hard to keep pace with the Jacks. They desperately need to do something to improve or replace the DakotaDome. I think they made a smart hire with their head coach last year.
Northern Iowa gets a verbal from Omaha (Concordia)
Jayden Scott - 6' 5" 215 - QB/MLB/ATH
Could end up at TE
Western Illinois gets a verbal from Brandon Malkow - 6' 5 285 - OL - Beloit WI
Offers include - South Dakota State, Northern Michigan, Columbia
