I predict a good game for Zeb. Bison roll.
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
You are nothing if not punctual.
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
Run the ball and play great D. Zeb shows some more today.
Bison: 31
Girly dogs: 10
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
Bison roll. That SIU o line was letting UND front 7 by like water through a sieve. Almost got their starter killed.
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
I predict another boring game and a win just like last week, and that just fine. I do hope Zeb gets a little more comfortable in the passing game. Go get #40 and tie Washington!
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
Id really be interested in the "travel squad" today.
I suppose we wont see the "travel roster" will we?
with so many able to play this fall without losing a redshirt, it would be telling how many they take and who
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
Things I’ll be watching today include:
- Who’s at QB for Southern Illinois?
What affect does it have on their playcalling?
- Who’s at RB for Southern Illinois?
What affect does it have on their playcalling?
Javon Williams = 6’ 2” 245 = 4.6 ypc = 1000 yards rushing as a FR last season.
Romeir Elliot = 5’ 6” 190 = 4.3 ypc = effective change of pace back
- Is this the week we see the playbook open up?
The longer the Salukis hang around, the more they can use big horse Williams and try to wear down the Bison D. While NDSU rotates the DL, that isn’t the case for the back 7.
- TE’s please! As frequently wished for, would be part of a bigger playbook.
The coaches had all offseason (last fall after Central Arkansas) to game plan. It was always known that YSU had a coaching change and would be starting a rebuild. But it was expected that SIU would be a challenge - Kolpack even picked this game to be the end of the Bison str......(can’t type it all...:)). Since it’s not like NDSU just started prep for SIU this week would expect a few more wrinkles on how to attack them.
- Is Hunter Luepke back? Had some nice carries out of that power 3-back formation the Bison use. (Diamond??? Can’t remember it’s name)
- All that being said, SIU has had another week of practice & training. Apparently they had trouble with that due to the weather, so am expecting the skinny dogs to play better than last week. As they had 5 turnovers in that game, am hoping the Bison force 2 or 3 themselves today. But that would still be improvement by the Salukis, eh???
GoBizon!!!

Would guess the normal travel squad NCAA number applies.
But yes, it usually is telling who else gets to travel with the team, like normally you might look for an extra QB. This season, does an extra true freshman ATH get to travel? Someone who played RB in high school and could be extra depth this spring due to the circumstances. Oscar Benson played RB for Hillsboro, so someone like him perhaps??? (he was projected as a LB for NDSU)
That also reminds me, RaJa Nelson played QB for Lakeville North due to injury. Plus played RB/WR before that. Will he be given a few plays as a RB?
Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Southern Illinois
According to the SIU board, the backup QB will be starting.
