Re: NDSU @ Oregon Predictions
Iowa just suspended ticket sales.
What they are going to try an do is TRY and make sure they can get as many season ticket holders they can in to the games with social distancing.
They are allowing season ticket holders to get a full refund this year while allowing them the same season tickets next year.
If they are suspending season ticket sales that means there wont be single game tickets making season tickets worth more. Plus there will be no paper tickets . Its going to be a tough year for the scalpers.
What will NDSU do. They have done alot of what Iowa has done after the fact.
Re: NDSU @ Oregon Predictions
North Dakota also spread out the “prizes” with the capitol, university, and state hospital in different cities. Thankfully, the people in Fargo lobbied for the ag school instead of the prison.

The Southern part of the state is an eyesore while parts of the Northern side are beautiful. When the state's early government decided to put its capital, state university and state hospital in three separate towns in the Southern part (probably to be closer to Denver along with their cattle industry), I feel they unknowingly handcuffed their University's athletics ability to recruit in the long run.
With the way college football works today, it's going to be hard for anyone to be another Bob Devaney there. Pat Dye and Dennis Erickson both tried and were about as successful as Bohl in their respective one-year stints.

Actually that's not true. Fargo wanted the prison in the worst way. Wanted a few other things too but didn't get. In the end, the ag school was all that was left in the grab bag. I've even heard that some people in Fargo grumbled about only getting the ag school. They said Fargo should have gone after something big. Worked out pretty good, at least Fargo didn't get stuck with und.

Interesting to think about the fantasy world where SDSU is in Sioux Falls. I think there is a fair chance that NDSU and SDSU's fortunes could be flipped if sioux falls was the home of the rabbits. Would have to believe that their fan base would be 2-3x more prominent than it currently is if they werent located in a trash heap of a town with more than a couple 13-14 residents to its name.
Would be fun to have another legitimate fan base in the fcs outside of us, Montana and JMU

At least North Dakota didn't put all those "prizes" in the worst part of their state (Cheyenne, WY isn't too bad though while Grand Forks, ND is the armpit of the state).

Grand Forks is far from the armpit. It's a fine town. I'd take a hot dump on Minot or Williston before Grand Forks.
Really would be neat to see how ND would have turned out had we given the land grant to UND, or put NDSU in say...Jamestown or Bismarck due to their more central locations. Would Jamestown still be like Brookings? Or would it have become a whole different ball of wax? Who knows.

Thank God they didn't put the NDAC in Jamestown. You need a big city to make a university grow, and Jamestown isn't growing.
