Thought I'd update this thread. Despite what the commercials say, NDSU is in a tie for 4th place at the moment. That's going to change for the worse by the end of the last athletic season, but we should still stay in the top-10; probably the top-7. The following are the current top-10 schools plus conference mates and other local schools.
Men
1. North Carolina 75
2. Kentucky 70
3. Ohio State 60.5
4. Alabama 60
4. Loyola-Maryland 60
4. North Dakota State 60 (football)
7. UCLA 58
8. USC 56
9. Stanford 54.5
10. Oklahoma State 47
26. Montana 24 (football)
31. Minnesota 23 (gymnastics, hockey, wrestling)
36. Northern Iowa 18 (football)
47. Montana State 14 (football, skiing)
63. Minnesota-Duluth 6 (hockey)
67. North Dakota 5 (hockey)
Women:
1. Stanford 137.5
2. UCLA 110
3. Duke 83
4. USC 77
5. Florida 65
6. Maryland 62
7. Baylor 60
7. Northwestern 60
9. Florida State 50
9. Notre Dame 50
22. Minnesota 20 (hockey)
61. North Dakota 5 (hockey)
84. Montana State 2 (skiing)
96. Minnesota-Duluth 1 (hockey)
No offense, Bison fans, but any 'cup' that treats the BCS title the same as the FB title is, prima facie, absurd.
That, too, is absurd. Most absurd.
