Most important about the game Sam Greisel was back in the game, no offense to him but he looked rusty, wearing a long knee brace, but looked to
be getting back into form later in the game.
Jared Samuelson looked to down with a very painful shoulder issue again.
Did Richman address Samuelson's injury in the postgame? Didn't see anything on the Bison Report Twitter about it. I'm assuming it was the same shoulder he had already injured??? FWIW he just had it we wrapped in ice on the bench rather than put in a sling... hopefully that means it wasn't as severe as the initial injury since I know he spent time in a sling with that one.
Didn't hear anything post game on Jared, one of the guys I was sitting by got to the game late and on the radio they said it was a shoulder dislocation. He came back out in uniform at the half but didn't shoot, dribble or use his right arm at all. Hopefully it was popped back in and will just be sore for a while and it's not serious but with it being his shooting shoulder it could linger. We'll hope for some good news this week. I'm more curious as to what was going on with Tyson, I know in a previous post game interview Dave had mentioned how many minutes Tyson and Vinnie have been logging so I'm hoping it was just a move to get Griesel some PT and Tyson some rest in a game where he wasn't playing all that well anyway and we didn't really need him to win the game. Very important road games this week, can't afford to come out flat in two places that lack atmosphere. Need to bring our own energy and win these games we are supposed to win on the road if we want to be top dog of the conference.
Did not seem like Tyson was engaged from the opening tip. After he made his first shot he got a couple blocked and no foul called and that got in his head. He just was not himself that game from the start.
Sam was rusty and needs to trust his knee if it is 100% to go. Mentally that is a hard thing to get over.
Oh the initial yank from the game in the 2nd half was definitely due to on the court performance but to not put him back in for the remaining 18 minutes seemed more along the lines of the other guys built up a double digit lead so we didn't need him back in the game and it was a good opportunity for Sam to get his legs back under him. I have a feeling if it was a 5 point game down at the under 8 timeout Tyson would've been back in.
QUOTE=westnodak93bison;1406340]Who knows. If anyone ever understands Richman's coaching player rotation/strategy please explain. Seems like it's a crap shoot at best.
