I remember the discussion about Beck not bring big enough to play Linebacker. Funny how things work.

Grant was a MONSTER recruit. I will never forget having a coach tell me, "If we can finish this class with Grant and Littlejohn." I immediately was googling this Littlejohn kid. Who was a QB.
And that's kind of my point about the possibility of him playing. Is there any doubt that if he got a look and made it onto a squad that he wouldn't get a few reps on kick coverage? And if he did, is there anyone on here who would say that he wouldn't stand-out there, even in the NFL? I think he would. And those players who tend to stand-out there, tend to get a few reps during a series or two.
Maybe it's too much of a pipe dream, but I feel like if he got a shot, in a year or 2 he would be a proven commodity.
John Randall was too small to play DE...
Tony. Please rename this thread: Why have a Serious Broner for Grant Olson.
Ramon Humber is 5-11 and about 230.
I was excited when Grant committed, I remember that. I recall his coach saying that Grant was a better LB than one of his teammates who committed to Stanford that same year. Also remember his coach saying that Grant reminded of him of James Laurinaitis who he also coached and was either an All-American at Ohio St at that time or an early round draft pick in the NFL.
Don't get me wrong, I think Grant is a great football player. I just don't think he'll have the measurables to fit in anywhere at the NFL level.
Much like Jensen, I just hope he gets a shot at one camp. I don't think anyone ever wants to think about "what could have been if I'd only gotten a shot." Even if at a severe disadvantage to draft picks, anyone who gets a camp invite has a chance to make that team......and if you do not make it, you leave with your head held high knowing you gave it your best and you will still end up in the NDSU Hall of Fame and still have rings for your fingers.
