Game tomorrow and no thread on this yet. Indicative of real apathy. I guess I'll start the thread. WIU has a comparable record to ours. So do we win this one, given the home court advantage that comes with 200 cheering fans?

will be in attendance for the game tomorrow, first time since winter break. looking forward to seeing how the team looks at home after the omaha loss.
i listened to the bison basketball radio show that someone posted in a separate thread and richman said the team has to improve on the defensive end. also mentioned something about figuring out the rotation, will be relistening to the episode tonight.
Pretty much a must win with a stretch of 6 games out the next 7 on the road looming.
WIU is 1-2 in the league, they beat Denver and got demolished by SDSU and ORU.
It's a WINNABLE game---one of the 10-11 I counted this preseason for Richman!!!
Did Richman really say he needs to figure out a rotation??? 17 FRECKIN GAMES IN!!!!! GREAT COACHING
I'm not surprised by anything when it comes to LACKING in COACHING DEPARTMENT when mention RICHMAN anymore----
Bison 67 WIU 61 in an ugly game with lots of turnovers!! Perfect type game we can win because EXECUTION of an offense or GAME ADJUSTMENTS are not as MUCH needed when other team gives the ball away via the turnover
Don't know if I will even watch or check score during game
My daughter has basketball practice until 7:30, plan to get there for the 2nd half....assuming I don't check the score to see us down by double digits or something stupid. WIU is not very good this year, can't lose this game at home, if we do then Dave needs to go ASAP, no more excuses
WIU guard Kobe Webster was at Hector last night just before midnight.....all alone holding a large duffle bag. Overheard him on the phone telling someone that the airline finally found his bag and that he needed someone to come back from the hotel to pick him up. Felt bad for the guy.
What's the over/under on the combined number of shot clock violations and terrible shots at the end of the shot clock tonight by NDSU?
Hope someone is ready to draw some fouls in the paint.
Leatherneck 7 footer Brandon Gilbeck averages 4 blocks, was last season’s Summit League Defensive POY.
Would be nice to get him out if the game. If nothing else, Rocky & Deng need to hit from 3 land to draw him away from the rim. Gilbeck also averages 9 ppg, 8 rpg.
Just heard on the radio that Western is 7-50 in their last 57 road games and havent won a toad game in 2 years!! We better win this one tonight.
I'm a glutton for punishment and will be watching. Go Bison!!!!
shahid, samuelson, ward, griesel, and kreuser starting
deng subs in for kreuser
I think 2 bigs on the floor together would destroy WIU. Kreuser hitting those early 3's pulls their shotblocker out and Deng would have a field day inside.
Shame that Gilbeck just wastes his career in the abyss that is WIU.
no horn or cook in the first half. maybe this is richman “figuring out” the rotation?
When is Cam Hunter scheduled to return?
Nice to see Sam getting healthier. He has great length that can defend multiple positions. On offense he is patient and attacks when the gap is there. Also prolly the best passer on the team.

Bison putting it in on WIU now, would love to see the team do this at Denver. Sam is coming back into form nicely.
5.3 million raised by Team Makers just announced at the game.
This win should help our confidence, right? 85-69! Announcers feel it is NDSUs best game of the year...
How good is WIU??
Summit League scores...
IPFW 94
ORU 69...IPFW last remaining undefeated team in the league at 4-0
Denver 66
SDSU 78....Denver continues to struggle, NDSU heads out there next.
Omaha 92
F'n Hawks 91....UND loses at the buzzer. Sad!
If we dont keep our heads out of our butts, players and coaches, we could lose twice to the hawks and then how will we feel?
Dr. Jones lost his felon, crandal, but he still puts a good team and a better game plan and system on the court than richman
typically does.... we only beat them when we had L. A.? and Paul Miller?
This is the type of game that always gives us a little bit of false hope. We know what happens next...
So I try pretty consistently to not be unrealistic and annoying about Augie, but watching 20+ minutes of this game tonight and reading stats like this, I find it hard to believe Augie can't be at least competitive in the Summit League to the degree that WIU is "competitive."
Right?
I'm sure the anti-Augie group will gladly articulate why that sentiment is dumb, but if Augie can't at least get to WIU's level (or, as I'm obviously hoping desperately, better), I will be really surprised.
Also, I'm not trying to hijack this thread and turn this into any sort of Augie D1 discussion, I was just watching the game tonight and this was the thought that popped into my head after 5-10 minutes. Seeing the stat quoted above just motivated me to log in and comment about it.
I'd feel just excellent if we beat the cocks twice this year...
Dont you feel bad that they dont even have a TV station in town there anymore?
Since patsweeney hit the social security circuit finally the rivalry in the press is finished, thank god.
He had a can of gas wherever he went, today that could be called terrorism
I, for one, have never thought Augustana couldn't compete in Summit basketball. I think this year's Augie team would beat this year's NDSU team 5 times out of 10. Of course, that's not saying much for how you'd fare against better conference foes. But in any case, I don't think you'd be in the Summit basement.
Saw some good things from our guys last night. Really liked the sharper ball movement with the pass instead of stationary or weave dribbling. We even pushed the pace and attacked the rim in transition a couple times. Tyson was a stud. Our bigs played well all over the court. Enjoyable game to watch and maybe some confidence for next week on the road.
I'll take any positive I can get with this team and last night was a positive step. That said WIU is now 7-51 in road games since the start of 2015/16 (I believe that's the stat I heard on the pregame show last night) so they'll need to build on this in order to beat better teams on the road.
I still don't like Quayle playing 20 minutes and Horn playing 2 but it's now evident pulling Knotek's redshirt was a waste and I don't think Cook is quite there yet defensively. Getting Cam back hopefully for UND next weekend will round out the 10 player rotation and those two guys won't be in it anymore. It'll be nice to give Vinny a bit more of a breather than he's had, help keep him fresh for the whole season.
It is amazing what can happen when you can get to the rim and finish. You can not play the game of basketball outside the 3 point line for 90% of the time you have the ball. Can we continue to do that against better teams???????????? Time will tell but I am not optimistic, PLEASE Bison prove me wrong!!!!!
