Re: Dak injury... change anyones mind on "Trey should have stayed"?
Dak will get paid via insurance right?

He only signed a one year deal. He was holding out for the big money.

Really bad timing for him. From what I've seen he should be able to fully recover, but some scary stuff for him being behind the 8 ball with Jerry.

Should have taken the money. Seriously, 185 over 5 years, likely north of 100 guaranteed.
He'll likely play on a 1 or 2 year Prove It contract, and if he's damn lucky he'll get another 4 year deal after that.
Take the damn money when it's offered. No guarantees in football.

Wonder what it's like trying decide just how filthy does your rich need to be before signing on the dotted line? I'd guess you have people you pay telling you that kind of stuff.

If your agent is telling you to turn down 100M guaranteed and up to 185M, you need a new agent. Seriously, I think there should be charges filed for incompetence of breach of contract.

Mmmmmm maybe some greed and ego involved in that decision

According to articles and since the public doesn’t know the details of offers... it’s likely not a big deal.
What the public does know is two franchise tags this year and next year will get him $69M guaranteed, and a third would be another 54M but unlikely to be picked up. Then there is insurance that’s he’s had in the past. That’s likely going to keep him in the ballpark of whatever the guarantees were in the contract offer.

The Agent probably has 20+ players under contract and is playing the numbers game... do agents get paid on insurance payouts?
