Re: GDT: NDSU vs. Western Illinois
I don't think the Brooks bow was that big of a deal. But, I can understand why there was a flag. I would have also understood if there was no flag. I guess the point is don't do things that are questionable unless you are willing to accept the penalty.

That’s what my point was and is, and also wasn’t just in reference to Brooks’ penalty but also the complaints from others taking offense to other players on the team showing any type of emotion since Klieman took over. I gave a reason why they show emotion and how come we don’t need to villianize them for it.
I’m sure glad nobody here lost their crap when Brock Jensen showed emotion pretty much every time scored a touchdown with either the double-check gesture or his personal salute to the crowd because that was fun to watch.

I hope next week when Easton scores a TD, he will poop out the football like Randy Moss. That GDT will be HOF worthy.

JFC nobody said they cant show emotion. It is and always has been about stupid and excessive celebrations. I dont see whats so hard to understand about that.

How many sports are out there where your physical (and sometimes mental) well-being is going to be negatively affected when participating at a high-level as much as it happens in football? That’s the comparison between the two.
Hopefully, this helps you understand my point of why we don’t need to be so vitriol towards those that show emotions in those sports. Let them have their cake.

Normally on away games do the players give all the fans a high five after the game before they enter the tunnel? Anybody know when that tradition started? (Can we come up with a name for it?) I dont recall seeing other teams do every game like our players do.

Totally agree. The "after the play" with Coach K said alot.

How about "A High Five"?

I can't recall exactly when this started, but just in the past two or three years. There was a tunnel? I thought it was just a long stretch of unlit sidewalk!

Lance Dunn did a little dance after his TD, flipped the ball to the official, and ran off the field. He showed emotion, there was no flag, and there was no discussion postgame about it (until this). Brooks running all the way over to the other side of the endzone is what drew the flag. That's why it was dumb. If he does the exact same thing right after scoring he's not flagged and it's not even a discussion point.
