Moni was a big get, we'll get to run 2 bigs at the same time again with Moni & Feddersen likely starting and Burke and the incoming freshman Andersen backing them up. Now what we really need is a longer athletic wing player. Need a Trayvonn, Braun, Ward type of guy. Geu & Harden-Hayes both could've been that player but Dave ran them off, that'd be number one on my needs list right now though.

I would really like to see Tajavis Miller take that role.

Tajavis is only 6'4" though, I'm talking like a 6'6"/6'7" true wing player. I do think Tajavis will start at the 3 and hopefully have a great season moving into a more prominent role but would be nice to have options.
Re: Transfer Portal - 2024
Davey Boy signs Masen Miller, a shooting guard from Indiana St., who never saw the light of day on the team at Indiana St. and averaged 1.8 PPG last season.
Watch out boys, we are gonna be rocking with the 11th man from Indiana St!
Averaged a whopping 6 minutes a game in 2 years there.
LFG!!!!
And yep, I'll wait for the "he can shoot the 3" comments.
Sure, he can...at a D2 school where it's easy to get open.
So, if he can be open all day in Dave's offense, then maybe a good pickup.
Is he used do doing the weave at the top of the arch for 20 seconds?

I saw a tweet from Cam Miller that stated this guy routinely drop 30+ on him in basketball...... lol

Another great addition to the squad today. Really hard to argue we aren't alot better today than we were prior to the portal opening. NDSU has alot to offer and can be a great portal home going forward. Facilities, school, Collective, etc. Lets keep building this. The portal can go both ways, and I doubt Dave likes the portal, as he is old school, but he certainly is adapting and evolving as things change. I am excited for the next run.

Looks like we're trading Boden Skunberg for Luke Kasubke - a 6'5" 190 guard who was at Illinois St the last 2 years and K-State the previous 2 years before that.

Seems like his 22/23 season at ISUr was better than his 23/24 season (more minutes - better numbers) so hopefully a change of scenery can help him.

I'm less optimistic about this addition. Started at K-State, then ISU but didn't really do anything at either spot and at only 6'5" he doesn't give us a length upgrade either. Seems to basically be Boden with less production.
In regards to better than we were before the portal opening, I don't know if I'd go there either. Losing Morgs was a big gut punch, also losing Howard when he decommitted was tough, I think he's gonna be good. Adding Moni was big and I do think we got more experience and a little better quality depth than we had previously but I'd say we are about back at even. Given the losses around the league though, staying even isn't a bad place to be. As it stands today I think we have the best roster in the Summit League, now if our coach can utilize it, we shall see.
