Does anyone know why GoBison doesn't have any of the future schedules beyond 2015 anymore? I thought it had awhile ago with the Iowa game in 2016 but not now. Any links to future schedules?

I'm guessing because there is nothing set in stone yet. I know we play Iowa in 2016, but we still do not have a FBS team to play in 2015 nor anything past 2016.
Here's the link to the Iowa game agreement.

Gotta like the $500,000 guarantee...wonder what the buyout is.
OK I'm just going to say it. Gene should sign a H/H with UN_ for 2015 and 2017. That will fill out our 2015 schedule and we wouldn't have to travel there until 2017. Or better yet ink a 2 for 1 and they can come back again in 2019, then we'll see how it all pans out whether we continue or not. Let's just do it and get it over with now.
Who's with me? :hide:
What does playing UND do for NDSU?
More Revenue?????
No!
More exposure????
No!
Do recruits care if we play them???
No!
Are they a quality opponent???
No!
Need I continue? Gene just say NO!
I thought we only do a home and home with DI teams?
But you can also say the same for Weber State so....
I see UN_ as an easy game to schedule and a guarantee of no buyout. If GT thinks we can fill the schedule easy enough with other teams then by all means let's keep doing it. I'm just getting anxious when we are taking until Feb or later to fill our schedule.
There are no strings attached to playing Weber. It is a home and home and who knows if we ever play them again. Once you start the rivalry back up it might be difficult to stop it again.
I also believe 2015 is an 11 game schedule only year. If we play UND we will have no FBS game, recruits love the FBS games. None of them care if we play UND.
Make it a close to home FBS game and I'm happy. By close I mean within 12 hours driving distance. Screw UN_. No reason to help them and as some have already stated, there is no benefit for NDSU other than to make you happy that the schedule is done sooner. Gene has done a great job of filling the schedule despite all the setbacks and obstacles to overcome being tops in all the land. Quit putting your selfish wants/desires ahead of the program and start thinking what is actually best for the program.

Any one that is willing to take on a challenge. I had none in mind and we have to be realistic that we won't get 6 home games a year every year. Countering that with an FBS game is a hell of a lot easier to swallow than countering with giving UN_ a sold out home game they would never, ever get, giving them money, and us losing a home game. I can just about guarantee every kid on the team would rather play an FBS team than the Whioux from Whiouxville.
We need an FBS opponent for 2015 and every year IMHO. We want the $$ and I think it helps recruiting.

What does Florida gain by playing Florida State? What does Kentucky gain by playing Louisville? What does Notre Dame gain by playing Michigan?
Sometimes rivalries will have one team that is down and that is true for UND right now. Avoiding this rivalry is silly, immature, and ridiculous.
I completely disagree. Those schools can play 12 games, they don't have to have make a trade-off of either losing an FBS game or a sixth home game. Some of those games draw massive exposure for their program.
Until I hear a good reason to play UND that benefits NDSU in some fashion I will continue to be against the game.
For the record if NDSU could schedule 12 games I wouldn't be against playing UND. We could achieve all of our scheduling goals, sure they would benefit but at least it wouldn't be hurting us at the same time.
The NCAA got it wrong by expanding the playoffs....they should have let schools play 12 games every year instead. Now we have a watered down playoff field and in some instances some tough scheduling decisions to make as well.
I have been told more than 10 times on this board that the rivalry is dead, and that no one, but specifically students, do not want to play them in football.
I think that's fantastically delusional, closed minded, and childish quite frankly. We'll find out what the poll says.
If I'm wrong, I'll eat the biggest crow pie ever created, you have my word haha
As long as I don't have to pay $200/ticket and travel North 70 miles, I don't care whioux we play at home. You want tough games? That's what the conference and playoff games are for. The recipe works, don't change any ingredients.
