First look at the squad tonight against the Gophers in an exhibition, real interested to see what the rotation looks like. Strickland and Feddy about the only 2 guys I think are locked in as starts, will be interesting to see who emerges through the first couple exhibitions for the day 1 starting lineup and rotation guys. 7pm on Big10+
Why wouldn't Damari be locked in to start?

Good fight to close the half…struggling to get shots to fall but defensively we look quicker and stronger this season. Gophs up 35-26 at half

Fun while it lasted…Gophs Tyson goes on a 13-0 run by himself, Gophs lead 65-46 at U8
The good, I think we have some good pieces that could be successful in the Summit. The bad, rebounding and free throw shooting still a big struggle. Gophs did have a decent size advantage but positioning not great. First game playing as a group, definitely sloppy in spots, we’ll see if they figure it out. Gophs 80 - Bison 54 Final.
But we all know it will be a 7 or 8 man rotation at conference time.Quote:

Then Andy, Anderson and Carson Smith off the bench. Majerle, Skytta and true freshman Massey are the guys that could fill the 9th spot in the rotation and based on last night I think Massey looked the best out of the 3. Will likely see them all play throughout non-con and then the rotation will trim down.
Amusing that Dave, about the 11-0 Gopher scoring run, said, “Maybe in a regular-season game, I call time out, but it’s an early learning opportunity. I want some guys to plow through it.”

You've NEVER called time outs during scoring runs against you, at least not that I've ever seen. Except after it's too late to squelch their momentum. Then you just turn red and wave your arms around.
He's probably saving them for summit tournament or going to try and sell the un used one's to Matt Entz.Quote:

Bison could learn something from the Gophers about game atmosphere and fan engagement. Even though it was a small crowd for an exhibition game for a program that’s been down, they did a great job with music, lighting, enthusiastic student section, and overall fan participation. The players also hung around after the game circling the court engaging and thanking fans.
