Getter done!
Where is the Billy Turner matching gift?
Please donate whatever you can afford so the requirements of matching funds are met. In addition to Turner’s fund there is one for $100K to football fund once 100 donors donate to it.
Done and done ... let's go!

If the green and gold football fund can get 100 donors, it will unlock 100k. I would encourage a monthly donation which would count towards the 100 as would a 1 time donation
Looks like we're at 69 right now, it ends tomorrow
A question was asked on the percentage of donors that were donating to the original collective that are now donating to the Green and Gold Fund during a zoom call for the Green and Gold Fund last night. Derrick wasn't sure what the exact number is, but mentioned it was somewhere between 25 and 35 percent. Seems like a significant effort needs to be made to get those donors to make the migration.
I donated to the Green and Gold Football Fund even though I wasn't going to do it unless progress was made on moving to FBS or Matt Larsen fired / left. Currently 80 donors to this fund. Need 20 more donors to unlock the $100,000 donation!
5 more donors to this and it will unlock 100k from an anonymous donor for the football only Green & Gold Fund and 25k to the endowment fund

Another 3 donors to the green and gold fund will unlock 10k from the Uglem family
200k for general NDSU athletics unlocks a 40k donation. We are currently at 413 Donors and $153,650
Donated
443 Donors
$196,985 Donated to Athletics
Another 3 grand unlocks 40k

$337,150 Donated to Athletics. The two big challenges are completed!
That includes over a quarter million to the Green & Gold general fund and the football only green and gold fund. That's impressive as hell for 1 day.
Would be cool to see some of the smaller challenges knocked out for smaller sports. 13 more donors to the Green and Gold women's basketball fund unlocks 10 grand. That's very impactful for women's basketball

Unless you're talking about a giant project like a stadium or IPF, I completely agree with you. That's what I liked about Jay's approach. You get the little guys chipping in 20 bucks a month and it ultimately leads to a steady revenue stream and they provide free advertising and tell all ther Bison friends. The more people spreading the word will help it grow organically
But Jay could still help the cause by posting something on the old collective Facebook page or updating the website
We donated some money for giving day to non-athletic programs and finally got around to signing up for a monthly donation to the green and gold fund.

My understanding is this was not even a possibility. Because of how this was handled, I am out.

Must have been for some bureaucratic reason. At the end of the day the student athletes are the only people who lost. I guess we will just have to rebuild but raising 350k in a day for the collective, with 10 hours to go is a hell of a start. Long term it will be as good or better just based on the raw marketing power NDSU Athletics and the Foundation. Hopefully they can get Jay back in the mix. He brought some great grassroots efforts to the mix.
Jay donated a hell of a lot of his time to get this ball rolling. His enthusiasm is infectious!

It should never have gotten to a point where they 'get Jay back'. I have no idea what happened, but it's not a great look discarding the foundation builders. Makes me question the new regime.
I think the first ever post on bisonville was about how poorly Tram Makers handles communication.
*Sent from my iPhone where autocorrect is definitely not my friend*
It's been mentioned on here already. Jay and Curt made every donor feel valued. Through communication, interaction, fun/diverse events ... they made the $10 donor feel the same as if they were donating $1000.
As far as retention, a lot of that is pure laziness (in my opinion). They simply expected donors to roll over and continue to give money. I think most simply would have loved a quick personal communication from Team Makers on the change. That didn't happen until weeks into it. They were handed list of donors. My guess is this is what many members feared w/ the transition to Team Makers. They struggle with communication, leadership, making all donors feel valued -- things Jay and Curt excel at. Take a look at each of the groups events. The collective was made up of individuals from 20 to 90 years old. If you look at a typical Team Makers luncheon (or 90% of TM events I've been to) ... and no offense to anyone here, the average age isn't in the 40's or 50's.
