2025 Freshman Games Played Tracker
Here's a list of true freshmen and games played during the 2025 season. Polasek has done a nice job of getting some of the young guys game reps and utilizing the 4-game redshirt rule.
I'll update as the season progresses.
Preston Brown - SIU
Chris Keil - USD, ISU-R
Myles Mitchell - Citadel, TSU, SEMO
Barry Kpeenu (JUCO last year) - USD
Marion Moore - USD
Mikhale Ford - TSU, SEMO
Damian Devine - USD
Alijah Wayne - Citadel, TSU, SEMO, USD, ISU-R, SIU ---- Redshirt is burned
Ryan Babatz - TSU, SEMO
It's a pretty limited list through non-conference play, and I'd say it's a near certainty these guys all exceed the 4-game redshirt limit.
Let me know if I missed anyone.

Great point and thanks for adding. The JUCO ruling from last year essentially makes him a true freshman for us. He's listed as a sophomore on our roster, so I missed that.
Freshmen who are on the participation report for the USD game are Chris Kiel, Barry Kpeenu, Marion Moore, Damian Devine, and Alijah Wayne. Let me know if I missed anyone.
Re: 2025 Freshman Games Played Tracker
By my count, only Chris Keil and Alijah Wayne played against ISU-R. Wayne's redshirt is burned, as expected.
Re: 2025 Freshman Games Played Tracker
Doesn’t mean that they played, but I take it as a good sign for the freshmen where they get to be on the sideline.

Re: 2025 Freshman Games Played Tracker
Preston Brown and Alijah Wayne were the two names I noticed on the SIU game participation report.
Someone on the GDT mentioned seeing Brown on Special Teams.
He is a QB/ATH recruit.

Anyone know why Wayne did not play yesterday?

First post has been updated with both Brown and Wayne's participation in the SIU game.

Did I hear/read somewhere that there was a possibility of Brown moving positions? If they are playing him on Special Teams, one would have to think that the staff is leaning in that direction (but maybe I'm wrong). If so, they have to be pretty high on Trey Drake/Zander Smith in the QB-room, although I haven't heard a lot out of how Smith is progressing as an early enrollee True Fr.
