Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13
As you know, we try to do a once a month "experience" and tomorrow is that opportunity.
Our members have been notified many times (check your spam) this week of the private practice tomorrow. We would love to have you all to the Legacy Lounge in the upstairs of the indoor practice facility. Coaches will be there to meet and greet and HC Tim Polasek will address the group. I will give updates with the status of the collective, address other sports and you can meet other coaches and members. Please spread the word. If you want to join, head to www.thegreenandthegold.com and join and attend event. We are in the middle of hoops transfer portal and Monday the portal opens again for football. The urgency is now. Please join us!
At 1PM, practice starts. You can either watch from the upstairs glassed in Legacy Lounge or enjoy all access with the players/coaches on the field. unique opportunity as a fan/member. When practice is over at 3PM, you can interact with the players and discuss beating Colorado! lets have some fun with this.
Thank you to the staff as they are always so welcoming to these opportunities for us.
Thank you for the positive energy and how this has been received in the community! GO BISON!

Thank you! We fully realize not all of our members are local, and appreciate everyone. We will do our best to communicate with everyone. Lot of photos and the message from the coach. Thanks for the support

I'm looking forward to it.

Re: Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13
Thanks for organizing this Burgundy! Should be a really cool experience! I'm sure the atmosphere will be a little more workmanlike than the spring showcase typically is so really looking forward to seeing how some of the younger guys look who haven't seen the field much on game days so far.

Everything about the Green & Gold Collective gathering today was great! It was my first time to the football performance center, so that was awesome… & observing a practice while down on the field was very cool. I’ll try to share some photos.

It has been. Dom talks about it frequently… BMZ articles and chatter on the pod. Emails from NDSU.

Re: Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13

Re: Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13
Now that the players have been going through practices with Coach Polasek and his staff any word on how they like how things are now? Any players fall on the depth chart and any rise on the depth chart?
Any fear of players leaving in the next portal window?
Go Bison!

Re: Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13

They talked about this. Jay’s response was there’s always a concern!
Coach P also addressed this, and I certainly don’t have it memorized (maybe Jay or others can chime in) but it was something to the effect that today’s youth-young adults are raised in a society that focuses on “What’s in it for me?”
He’s working hard to instill into the TEAM that there’s no better place to play football than North Dakota State University! The culture, the fan base, the facilities, The Green & Gold Collective, he went on and on! He’s pretty passionate about this topic!

Re: Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13
Didn't want to bump the transfer thread in the football forum and cause any cardiac issues so will just put this here: https://www.espn.com/college-footbal...leave-texas-am
Texas A&M has one of the biggest NIL pools in the country (Nick Saban was critical of Jimbo Fisher "buying recruiting classes" at A&M), plays in the most prestigious conference in the country, and has overall support on par with pretty much anyone in the country and has now had 19 scholarship football players enter the transfer portal since last November. They also navigated a head coaching change but I think it underscores how using NIL as a recruiting incentive is just going to add more instability to your program because if players chase the money to your program they're just as likely to leave to chase it elsewhere.
Glad to hear that Polasek and the G&G Collective are working together to make NIL at NDSU more of a merit based retention focus. I also think this underscores how important it is to have leaders in the locker room. We've been very fortunate to have such little transfer activity so far this offseason at NDSU football *knockonwood* and I think that says a lot about the seniors and leaders in that locker room.

Re: Green and Gold Collective Practice. Tomorrow 4/13
It seems the above post puts this into perspective. Most football programs are impacted and few are immune to the ravages* of NIL/transfer portal.
*my word and my opinion

Texas A&M is dollar for dollar the worst athletic department in the NCAA
