Has interest moved elsewhere?
This thread needs to be moved out of the football section. Maybe put it in the hall of shame. We have huge crowds, lines for tailgating, largest traveling fan base Iowa City and Frisco have ever seen. Move along. If you are tired of success become a Viking fan.
Exactly the point. I was meeting with client. We discussed Frisco. He said he had been twice, no interest, didn't watch Bison anymore. Got me thinking. How many like him? Legetiigamate question that will never be considered by Pat and company at Tm, but has a portion of fan based got tired?
If so, how do you reenage, versus send to hall of shame?
I thought this tread was going to be about that feeling I get after screaming for four quarter at a Bison football game.
I was wrong, so much lamer.
Feeding the troll: The portion of the fan base that is tired is the same portion that got interested when the run started because it was fashionable. Bison football will be just fine.
Ive got Frisco fatigue. went to the first 3, no interest in going again when they make it.
FBS games tho, are no question a must go.
I've been to a couple, long drive from williston, I will go in a seconds notice if they go for the 6th. We are witnessing a part of history and it is huge.
There are only 2 teams in all of college football that I watch.
1. NDSU Bison
2. Who ever they are playing
Someday when the shine starts to fade for some fans, some of us other fans will finally get goods seating in the dome.

I've been a bison fan my whole life but I have to admit that I'm not as excited for some of these regular season games anymore. Don't get me wrong, I love watching the games and seeing the young men work their tails off to make the big plays etc. but I'm starting to lean towards the FBS camp where I would like to see us tackle bigger and better challenges. (Yes I'm aware of the shortcomings for that to happen) Maybe my fatigue is more with the fcs rankings and playoff committee being clueless, or the many fcs schools that just aren't committed to football.
Two things in life that never get old are winning and fornicating.
Ron Erhardt wanted DI back in the early 70s. They had accomplished their goals.
If we should make it to Frisco again this year...there won't be any problem filling the seats with our fans. New ones keep coming.
The two games that I like to watch over and over are the Iowa game...and the K-State game. Georgia Southern games were awesome too.
Huge game tomorrow in Vermillion. The playoffs will energize people. Yes...we are spoiled.
I wish we could play an FBS every season
Thread has a good point.
Screw it, you win. Watching Michigan from here on out.
It's not fatigue. We're spoiled. If we don't blow out a team we're disappointed.
...and frankly...some of our conference foes and their fan bases are boring. Ugly uniforms...not many people at road games...etc, etc.
The broadcasts don't pipe in the crowd noise, making it dull. It's high-schoolish. The bands are generally lousy. GSB is very good.
Exactly!!! Can I push the "like" button a zillion times?
The only (important) thing on our agenda tomorrow is: WATCH BISON FOOTBALL!
Couldn't be more excited for the playoffs & the Road to Frisco! If given the opportunity... would definitely attend #6.
It NEVER gets old... just continues to be a GREAT time to be a BISON!
I don't think we're there, but it's not an impossible concept. Some in our group have gone to Frisco every year so far, but are cutting back to every other year now and have started missing a home game or two here and there too. It has a lot more to do with having young families and little kids taking up more time then fatigue from winning though.
If there is an injury with a player it's called "next man up"....so for us would it be "next fan up"?
No way am I getting tired of this success...it's different every year. Injuries, recruits, coaches possibly leaving, other teams trying to duplicate what we do, etc...
I thought everyone loved a winner? Seems some on this board are tired of winning. For those losing would make them feel better? I guess if you are having fatigue stay home. Watch some perennial losing team and tell me how long you stay interested. Go Bison!!!!!
Frisco is just 5 hours from me and I've been to all 5. LOVE it. NOT bored. LOVE wearing Bison gear here in Oklahoma and people ALL THE TIME make nice comments to me about the Bison, The Streak, Wentz, etc. They are also fascinated by what life in North Dakota is like and I enjoy telling them. ALL because of The Bison and Frisco.
Frisco in January with 38 degrees and Brown grass isnt appealling at all. been there done that 5 times!!
what kable1 is doing here is showing you diehards that interest is waning... the buzz isnt as loud, the lights not as bright especially playing in vermillion, Macomb, terra haute every year.
you need to keep the bandwagon/ancillary fans buzzing in order to grow the product.. and currently theres a TON of people that tailgate then goto bwws, chubs, or back to thier house to party.
Tons of revenue being WASTED by ndsu in my opinion
Love the Bison and the way they play and win. Love the big non-conference games, the conference rivalries, the playoffs and Frisco. Still...maybe it isn't fatigue, but it is harder to keep my fan intensity up for Western Illinois and SE Missouri. Not saying FBS wouldn't also have those moments too, but just that it's hard to sustain heightened interest for a long period of time, when not using little blue pills. Basic neurobiology and pharmacology.
Am I sick of it... Let me think... NO!
Playoffs are almost here. That's where the real fun starts!
It will never get old.... Ever.
This thread is preposterous!! I dont think fans ever get sick of winning!! Are Alabama fans having this discussion?!
Watching Gameday today they are at Western Michigan who is 10-0 this year. They brought up how the highest ranked G5 school gets to play on a New Year's Day bowl game. That's their national championship essentially. Personally, that doesn't excite me any more than our current situation. Grass is always greener on the other side.
I'm sick of the Bison fans who bitch about bison fans bitching about stuff. Your the arrogant assholes who think your shit don't stink because you are righteous do good fans. Can't post crap because you might offend someone. It's the dam internet. Quoting a great fan forum mind here hope I get it right. The internet used to be a place where you could say stuff.
Go Bison!
