Yeah, 4 is the highest I've seen, I think?
I think I saw as low as 22 on one, anyone have anything else?

Who is Washington's current QB, and what would he (Trey) have around him (linemen, receivers, etc.)? Not sure that's the best place for him, but you go where you go. Was kind of hoping the Packers could have drafted him, but they made their choice a year ago.

Washington is not where you want to be.

Two wins to rub together puts you in first place though ;)

Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
It would be best if Trey could fall to a team like the Vikes. He could sit a year behind Cousins and then hopefully the team will have done a little rebuilding as well. He does not want to go to Washington or some of these other really poor franchises. Vikes are usually better than average just never world beaters.
-
Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
This.
That would be ideal.
Don't think it will be the case.

Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
I hereby pledge that if the Vikings use their first pick on Trey Lance, I will become a Vikings fans again.

"Fall"
More like trip upwards

Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
Improved would mean no vikings fans. I demand to speak to this threads manager. Puddddding looking pretty pathetic around here.

Hahaha! If there is one thing I'm not, it's fair weather anything. :)
I'll never be as big of a Vikings fan as I was before, but if they start drafting Bison, I'll at least watch them play.
The only complete Vikings game I've watched in this millennium was the outdoor one in the snowstorm after the Metrodome's roof collapsed - and that's only because it was on my sister's bucket list.

I suspect your fandom is the edge we've needed all these years.

Yep, this time around it will be different.
Wait a minute, suppose that each of us has a limited supply of mojo and that if I start rooting for the Vikings, my mojo ends up getting spread too thin? Hmmm.
Actually, for a fan, the Vikings and Bison go together pretty well. When the Vikings suck, the Bison are almost always excellent. And when the Bison are not playing like the best program in the history of their conference or division, the Vikings are usually adequate. It's like there's Bison-Vikings effect. Science, do your thing!

For me they go together really well as well. The Bison always seem to be able to finish the job, while the the Vikings will always let you down. For me I have no faith in the Vikings whatsoever so it is really nice to support a team you have supreme confidence in which is the Bison.
This article sums it all up as a Vikings fan. http://www.espn.com/espn/page2/story...9/sportCat/nfl
Maybe Trey could change their history, but probably not as the Vikings don't draft or pickup Bison. i.e. Billy Turner/Joe Haeg

I think the Vikings are a mojo black hole. They could steal ALL mojo from the other 31 NFL teams and would still lose the nfc championship or super bowl.

Consistency. An old vikings fan once told me he liked the Vikings because they were consistent. They consistently let him down. The Bison are consistent too.

Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
I’m with Tony on this. I became a fan as a kid in 94 and was a complete diehard. During Favres 2nd season my fandom went into a free fall and really hasn’t recovered. But if they would actually sign Bison I would care more.

Was a Vikings fan my entire life until Farve threw that pick against the Saints. That was it and I stopped caring.

I became a Vikings fan in 1967 while living in Lincoln and watching the real NU under Bob Devaney beat up on any and every one. I swore them (Vikings) off after the fourth time they ripped my heart out (1977) on a world stage. This was likely before many of you were even a gleam in the ..., well, never mind.
Vikings Saints playoff game should have resulted in criminal prosecution extra-NFL. But I don't care. Brett Favre is alive and well. A warrior just like C Wentz.

Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
I was born in '79. I feel for you Vikings old timers. Nobody deserves that.
-
Re: The NEW & IMPROVED Trey Lance Thread
its funny watching NFL fans on twitter with Trey.
Washington fans say "he's gonna suck like carson wentz, same school"
Bears fans say "oh man Russell Wilson 2 i love him"

No worries for me personally. As I say I am over it. My son who grew up in Fargo and despite living in CA for the last decade still bleeds purple would love for me to care and watch. I just can't.
My only real..., disappointment, is that I cannot participate. That's why I am reaching out to our resident Karen. Karen can you please demand to speak to Pete Rozelle or whoever the current autocrat is and force him/her to offer for public sale some share of the NFL? And we want the options chains to be traded on the CBOE so our friend Kevin can be equally satisfied. Thanks in advance. 'Preciate cha'.

1970, 1974, 1975, and 1977. On those Super Bowl Sundays, this humble Christian had to go to church twice. I know that, before I pass from this life into the next one, the Good Lord will grant me just one, mind you just one, Viking Super Bowl victory. That's not too much ask, is it?

Our Heavenly Father grants prayers. He doesn't rewrite the fundamental laws of the universe.

100% with you... Favre was the type of player I cannot NOT root for - he almost got me back to watching the Vikes. Hey, I'd have been happy that they won the Super Bowl - but not as happy as I'd be for any Bison win in any sport.
Ownership and management are what killed the Vikings fandom for me - and they can get it back by showing they're no longer idiots. Sure, they'll still be extortionists, but at least they won't be dumbass extortionists.

There is nothing metaphysical about Farr being the target of cheap shots by the Saint defense. You do remember "bountygate"? It cost their coach a year's pay...…...should have been more.

That's pretty magnanimous and surely what I would expect from you. For me the line is harder. I cannot reinvest in the NFL unless/until they grant the proletariat an opportunity to share in the wealth. I'm just not willing to compromise on this point. If you want to milk the juice from the undereducated then give them a fighting chance at recouping some of their loss. It's only fair. And sporting.
Edit: Completely agree re: Brett Favre. Loved to hate him as a Packer, loved him as a Viking. But officially, I did not care during this period.

I sabotaged it so I could get back the Thread I started which was the Greatest Season Ever.
However, there is somewhat of a decent chance the Vikings will have a pick somewhere between 5-15 and could very well have that opportunity to draft Trey. I would love it.
