Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
It’s game week! Soon, we will all be hopping in our cars, loading up the bus, and getting on the plane to once again take the best roadtrip of the year to our home away from home in Texas. Road conditions, restaurant suggestions, stories from the road, pics of fellow Bison fans taking over businesses and airport bars, and seeing the Bison flag on the Texas sign. Lets hear about and see them all! Safe travels to all heading down to Frisco. We will see you on the road and in the sky!

Next thing you know, there will be reports of dead armadillos with mich golden light bottles in their arms instead of lone star bottles.

Bisonbabe, myself and our 2 kids are starting out on Tuesday evening. A stop at Tuckers in OKC is a must for us. Love their onion burgers. When we get to TX is will be the BBQ places like Hutchinsons and Pecan Lodge. And since we will be in McKinney probably a stop in to Sugarbacon as well.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Flew in this morning (was back in ND for Christmas). Word to those flying American direct from Fargo, it may be good to check in to your flight early and get to the airport a little early if you’re checking a bag. This morning all the kiosks were inoperable and they also were force bumping people until Jan 1 due to overbooking. Got to the airport late which made for some additional stress
Went to Legacy Food Hall this evening and will be back there tomorrow night for Jan 1st festivities. 99% chance of a run through Ringo’s and Scruff’s after. All within walking distance of my apartment

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Wife, youngest son and I left MSP metro at 8am yesterday. Overnight in Moore, OK last night, now at the brother-in-law’s for the week. Oldest son and his wife fly in from MSP evening of Jan 1 after what looks to be a frigid drive from Fargo. Always a great trip, have a blast every time with the distant family.

You will have a head start on us since you are leaving from Fargo. But with three women and all the potty stops you will need to make, we should pass you early on the trip. Drive safe.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
American flight this morning out of Fargo at 6:58. Still on the ground at 10:06am. Latest is a frozen windshield wiper. We also had to board via the tarmac because of a broken jet bridge. At least I dont have to worry about a connecting flight!
-
Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
I want to leave NOW!!!! This thread is going to kill me with FOMO all week.

I feel Miami International Airport is better equipped to run flights on a blizzard day with sub zero temps than Hector is. that place always has issues if the temp dips below zero and theres a few snowflakes in the air. My friend was supposed to be in Chicago 4 hours ago and I think they just left Fargo. issues with plane, couldnt get the luggage carrier tractor unstuck, deice the runway(again). just a shit show.

Re: Official Roadtrip to the Championship Thread 2019
Leaving Fargo @0800 on Thursday, staying in Topeka that night. Lewisville, TX by Friday. Bailing right after the game to head to Tulsa and staying there Saturday night. Stopping in Lincoln on Sunday to hopefully see Jordan Shearer wrestle in the Northwestern dual, Omaha that night. Home Monday. We like to take our time getting down there and back. That first year of driving straight through down and back sucked, never again.

Now that we are old and retired, we take our time. Of course the getting old part sucks.
I expect to see you and your dad in the tailgate lot. You know, Weber was along time ago.

Assuming they cancel tonight's flight. I would say it is much more likely to go than be cancelled.
