Worked out for Joe Dirt too eh. All we need is a fbs conference with its nuts frozen to the porch eh.

It would be very hard. But so is winning 9 of 11 national titles in FCS. The Bison are definitely capable of doing it, and it wouldn't surprise me if they did quickly. I'm a huge fan of moving up for a variety of reasons, but I also expect there could be 8-4 type seasons that are successful but wouldn't lead to any playoff. And for forbid they have a 5-7 season. If you think the Bison are EASILY going to become the #12 team most season, you are unrealistic. The FBS move will now greatly impact regular season schedules. The post-season will be less exciting most seasons and that's ok.

I tossed USAFA and UH-Manoa because they are unique.
I grabbed the highest (it's or SDSU/UNLV depending on year), low (SJSU), and median MWC athletic and football spending.
I added in NDSU.

Aaannndd …. It’s Bowl Season folks
Levy and Galloway looking very comfortable down in Bahama Land
Lol @ use of the word "need"... We've been over this a half dozen times already I feel like.
NDSU would have to up its athletics spending for sure. How much exactly? Who knows, surely not you or me. Comparison to existing schools that have been in the Mountain West for 10+ years and have been FBS for 5x that is certainly a data point. So is the difference in cost of living between Fargo and Fresno, San Diego, Denver, etc. Another is how competitive NDSU is already given the fact that our athletic department spends less money.
California Davis spent 14 million more dollars on their athletic department in 2021 than NDSU. Should we jump to the conclusion that NDSU couldn't compete in the Big Sky now too?
Data needs context homie
UAB looks decent. Sagarin has them at 87, three spots below UIW
Heading to the AAC, lucky blazers ...
Undoubtedly.
That's why I pulled USAFA and UH-Manoa out of consideration.
But mentioning context, there's also this, and this other.
Whoa. Couple huge bowl games today, let’s f’ing go!
