We've been outperforming our weight class budget wise. Colgate and Bucknell have larger football budgets.

To be fair, NDSU is probably the only one who doesn't have to pay for stadium upgrades, turf replacements, or general maintenance.

Those numbers are influenced by tuition rates too. William and Mary is almost 50k a year for out of state, while Montana State is 28k out of state while NDSU is 15,076.
However the Montana schools are cheaper for in state. If we have any advantage, its the cheaper Minnesota tuition rate where a majority of players come from

LOL! I'm not even going to click the link.
Alabama A&M outspends NDSU in football? Come on man
Colgate can't even fully fund scholarships lol
Montana State's head coach 4 years ago was complaining how unfair NDSU's resources are to the rest of the subdivision
If these numbers are even accurate, all this shows is what a goat rope trying to break out expenses by sport. Then you have the fact we're in a City-owned stadium, etc. This is exactly why the mysterious "where are we going to come up with $20M more dollars per year if we go Mountain West" trope is unfounded.
Outside the Valley and maybe the Montana's, no one comes close to our resources. A very, very large reason why we've won 9 of the last 10 championships.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Montana State has made a ton of renovations to their faciliites, those numbers are in their budget. Specific sport budget numbers don't mean jack squat. Yeah, we build a $50 million IPF but underfund our program, people don't be ridiculous.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
I will go on record that this year's playoffs is infinitely more interesting to me than waiting to play in some random bowl game in the middle of next week.

I’ve said this before, if NDSU owned and operated the Fargodome, our football budget would be in line with JMU on the list above. This list is not comparing apples to apples.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Didn't know where to post this but apparently Mississippi St Coach Mike Leach had a medical emergency today and it is serious. Rumors on Twitter making it sound bad.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Mike leach is a national treasure. Hope he's ok.
