I said earlier, I think Wentz is going to quietly retire. If there is no good offer, no starting job, I see no reason for him to keep playing and potentially getting joint and brain injuries. If the NFL doesn't want him, then, ok.

Jets oline is horrible and Wentz would get killed. I would love for him to play again but they might be overrated like the colts were the year wentz took them over.

I don’t follow the Jets but multiple times I’ve seen headlines and heard sports radio say their Oline has been absolutely terrible all preseason. In practice too apparently.

I agree it does seem that way. Think about his year with the colts and he threw 27 tds and 7 int and was discarded. Has that ever happened to another QB? He was blamed for them not making the preseason hopes of a super bowl run happen yet they sucked way worse the next year so they were maybe not that good to begin with and media made them seem better than they were.

I'm far from a conspiracy theorist so when it appears to me that know one wants to give Carson another chance after the average to better than average numbers he put up my only option is to believe there is something within/around/because of him that caused GMs and coaches to step back.

Sports Illustrated has him in their list of 10 possibilities....they say that the Jets defense might be enough to make up for Carson being erratic...

Couple of articles I read today had Carson at #1 or #2 possibility (Joe Flacco was higher on a few lists).
Also lol lakes u think Carson can be picky at this point? If the Ninth Circle of Hell Flaming Liberals want Carson to play QB he should sign and get out there.

Wentz absolutely has to have a decent o-line in front of him or he won't make it 5 games. His entire career has hinged completely on the quality of the line. While there are only a handful of QBs who can perform at a high level regardless of line play, carson is incapable of remaining healthy unless he gets moderately protected. The eagles didn't get better with hurts. They got better when a bunch of their lineman hit their third and fourth year after they traded Wentz. I would like to see cw get one more chance but it has to be the right place and nyj probably ain't one of them.

I agree with u exactly. When u watch that highlight reel up above from chapo u see he had pressure almost immediately on most of those throws. The eagles became a train wreck after their Super Bowl win with poor wrs and a very injured line and they made great moves to shore that up. Wentz with the jets would probably end bad cause their oline looked terrible the other night. Rodgers went back for I think three passes and hardly had time to plant his foot and well we know what happened when he did plant his foot.
