Altogether, I was extremely disappointed in our offense. I figured the Bison to be tough in every area of the game, but D was not supposed to be THAT strong. Not to basically eliminate our offense completely. O-Line looked awful, and Studsrud looked completely unprepared for that type of environment.
D wasn't terrible, considering they were left on the field for so much of the game. I do think our run D is pretty legit. Corners are all pretty young, but should develop over the next year or two. Safeties are not too bad either. I like the way Reyes played, and it is really disappointing to lose Arnell for the year. I actually put more of NDSU success on how good Wentz is, rather than how bad our corners are. Wentz is just fun to watch, the kid just makes plays. Glad he is in the rear view mirror and I just look forward to hopefully see him playing on Sundays somewhere.
All in all, it was expected though I would have liked to see our team compete a little more. Hopefully the guys took something away from the game, and use it as a learning experience. Rivalry aside, our team needs to realize they are 2-1 heading into conference and focus on improving. Thanks to all (or at least most of your for the hospitality over the last week). 2019 should be fun, and I really hope we get to play again sometime before then (it would mean our team made the playoffs!).
