Just make sure you put that money to work somewhere else. We might need it in a few years :)

That’s the risk leadership is takingby not seizing the narrative. It might not come back and I don’t blame fans for choosing to invest their time and money elsewhere.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
I would be fine if you were invited to the MW. It does seem that many here don't see it as a step up in competition or have much, if any, interest in the other members. I guess being FBS in a conference you don't like or respect is good enough..If you just see it as a platform for you to dominate then go P5 in a few years that is one thing. That is a hard journey and I wish you well. If it doesn't play out like that you could be stuck in a conference you don't want to be in. If you are not as fabulous as you promise you will be, the MW is stuck with you.

If an FBS invite comes soon, the practice facility is really helpful in continuing to improve the level of talent we bring in so that we can compete at the FBS level. The benefits of the practice facility are less apparent at the FCS level. Unless winning 9 of 11 championships is unacceptable and we won’t settle for anything less than 11 of the next 11.
Youre looking at the practice facility in just a one view trade off for football when the PF is going to benefit more sports. And IF the PF just benefits the FB team to keep us competitive at this level Im good with that also. Nothing different than when the SHAC was first built back in 1969. It helped many different sports but at that time it was state of the art and brought prestige with it and it was a huge recruiting tool.

Almost no mention of G5 teams. Reality is 95% of the coverage goes to the P5 teams.
We did get the Selection Show on ESPNU on a Sunday.
And the Championship will be on ABC. That is pretty significant.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Boise versus Utah State will be on the main CBS network on Saturday at 12PM Eastern time..An actual daytime football game. That is cool.
However, it is true that the MW gets scant coverage on the national stage..It is a regional conference that most folks in other parts of the country know nothing about. Or even care..

You just described all G5 conferences, except most of them don't get that level of television coverage or media money.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
The AAC gets way more coverage and way way more tv money..Most of their teams are in large population areas..The MW doesn't have a lot of that. But since you are all looking at the MW as nothing more than a way station for a few seasons, that shouldn't hold you back.

It is an impressive facility. It is 75-80% football focused. Other sports will benefit in smaller ways. It’s a big price tag to maintain success at the FCS level. It is needed more to up our recruiting if we’re FBS. Smells a little like ego and besting SDSU & UND.
