Not pretty sure anymore but positive that number includes all other towns in both counties.
It's everybody in Cass and Clay counties. The Boise MSA was about 400,000 in 1996 when they moved up. 80% bigger than the F-M MSA is now. Starting from today Fargo is 2 decades of sustained growth at 33% a decade away from where they were when then moved up 18 years ago.

Yes the Fargo Metropolitan Statistical Area includes all of Cass and Clay counties.
The Fargo-Wahpeton Combined Statistical Area includes those as well as all of Richland and Wilkin counties.

Let's take a look at UMass's schedule then, shall we - it must be a great indicator of where we want to be since El Chapo wanted our AD to be the guy who brought UMass to such great prestige.
Boston College (home) - ACC team should get them on TV, right? Only ESPN3
Colorado (home) - PAC12 team should get them on TV, right? Only ESPN3
Vanderbilt (away) - SEC team should get them on an ESPN channel, right? FSN & ESPN3
Penn State (away) - B1G team should get them on TV, right? No TV at all
Bowling Green (home) - ESPN3
Miami-Ohio (away) - ESPN3
Kent State (away) - ESPN3
Eastern Michigan (home) - ESPN3
Toledo (away) - ESPN3/ESPN Game Plan/BCSN (whatever that is)
Ball State (home) - ESPNU - Wednesday night game
Akron (away) - ESPNU/ESPN3 - Tuesday night game
Buffalo (home) - No Tv - Friday night game
From everything I've read from you two, that out of conference schedule is your dream schedule: 4 P5 schools and two of them at home. The only non mid-week game on "national tv": at Vanderbilt, but obviously FSN aired that game because of UMass just because "random beat writer" wrote it. The fact that these teams have to whore themselves out to play mid-week games shows that NDSU needs to stay the hell away from this conference. so sad. NDSU deserves so much more.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
That SCHEDULE of teams is AWESOME! ! Can you imagine the excitement playing those teams!!!
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Exactly. A Big 10 opponent, SEC opponent, ACC opponent, and Pac 12 opponent! We are no UMASS. NDSU is a great regional brand. We could be on national TV or Fox Sport Net every single game, instead of just the ND NBC Network.

No TV. Except for the mid-week games at the end of the season. With 5,000 fans. Perfect.

That's the average MVFC game--not the MAC.

I've watched parts of MAC games on TV. The Alerus has larger crowds. No purple.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
Northern. Get this thru your head buddy.
If NDSU joined the mac or sun belt tomorrow BisoNation would have the best crowds no matter what. NDSU would be top dog! We'd elevate those conferences!!! We'd be the poster boy & the next Boise State....espn would love that story!
Don't ever compare BisoNation to ZipNation

damn. Thatd be a fun schedule. an ACC & Pac 12 team coming to Fargo? The midweek national game are gravy. If NDSU is ever to the point of hosting a p5 school here and there after giving them 2 or 3 for 1s, then NDSU has made it. Those schools make way more than FCS ones do for visiting P5 schools
until then, you can keep dissing the MAC or whatever. but they have it SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO much better than the MVFC. NDSU is the gem of the MVFC. is any other program even worth the breath to move up with or can NDSU just please do this solo?
