Truth. You're alright by me, All4One.
Re: A new and better FBS thread
I actually like Liberty. Good football and good basketball. Flawed leadership at times, but human beings are flawed, so no surprise there. Still, a good aspirational mission of being a Christian university. But some people hate Liberty for their own personal, biased reasons. And then when Liberty fans (who themselves have done nothing wrong) notice the hate, they get hated on some more for having a victim complex. I mean, I've seen that play out on the CUSA board. I'm sure Liberty fans are used to it.

I guess that's one way of putting it.

Ahh yes, this is great. Let's bring religion and politics into this discussion. That's what it needs. Maybe we could talk about the potential existence of an afterlife to really round out the discussion.

CUSA = Hell
Indy = Purgatory
Big XII = Heaven ?

I just said I liked Liberty and that they are good in football and basketball. I think it is odd that people can't seem to talk about Liberty or BYU without getting triggered.

Nah, it's the interesting hand waving you did about their leadership that I found interesting enough to respond.

Like I said before, we're hated. The most hated. Because of our football. But this is why I fully support the Division 1 Transformation Committee's proposal to eliminate automatic qualifying bids to the NCAA Tournament. It makes things fair for conferences like ours that are more invested in basketball when conferences like the MAC, Sun Belt, and others that put almost all of their resources into football while leaving pocket change for basketball are no longer playing in March Madness in the Big Dance.

No, I wasn't talking about you. You're comment wasn't a trigger reaction. It was funny actually. I did indeed put it softly. But I don't hold thousands of students, staff, and faculty accountable for what a president does in secret.
I was replying to 92's comment, but really just making a general observation about what I've seen on many sports boards. I'm not a BYU fan, but I see the same kind of invective directed at them as I see directed at Liberty on these sports boards. So I was commenting about that.
