Clearly the B1G...That is where Oregon wants to go.

Even if Oregon leaves, they still have Oregon St.
Just means another vacancy needs to be filled.
PAC is adding teams soon, just a question of precisely when and who.
It does seem like a long shot for us, more likely MWC teams will backfill.

Not much new here, just confirmation of previous rumors from a reputable source.
But but but geography doesn’t matter!!!!!! Those CUSA officials must be dumb!!!

The brand strength of those 2 schools is very appealing for TV. And to bring FBS to the north central part of America for the first time would be a truly bold & innovative move. When asked about whether or not the geography or a CUSA schedule would be a problem, they had one TV exec say, "Fans in Fargo & Brookings wouldn't go to fill their stadiums with an atmosphere the camera loves just to go see FIU or New Mexico State. They go to see the Bison and Jackrabbits." Seemed pretty confident that their money & visibility would make NDSU & SDSU a media tandem the nation won't stop talking about. See JMU.
If true then why the hell haven’t we signed that invite?!?!?!? A football only invite is the best G5 option for the program, athletic department, and university! If this is true there is no way they could have kept this all secret…… how do you know about this?

Yeah not sure Brookings should be compared to our level! If midco was being contacted by the CUSA there is no way that would remain a secret!
Re: A new and better FBS thread
I'm now in the "anything but independent camp"...yep, even if it's conference USA. My favorite is now the American, 2nd would be MWC and then conference USA.

At least with conference USA we'd be able to get some good non-conference games because we'd no longer be the FCS team they didn't dare schedule for fear of a loss.

This guy is a blowhard liberty guy.
If there was anything to this, there would be leaks everywhere from reputable sources, just like those talking about Tarleton and SFA to CUSA.

I think he's just trolling us with talk of "big time" games vs FIU and NMSU.

All possible..It is also possible the Pac10 will remain the Pac 10.
