They stunk it up at times. But the offense vs UIW didnt get a 1st down until the 2nd quarter and they were never on the field. It's hard to adjust with 3 and outs and a defense on the field for a whole quarter. Still you would like to see them pick up the offense
Then again vs SDSU, they didnt really need a punter

Cam is good running when a play breaks down or on a QB draw. He's good in the red zone too but Cole can do everything Cam does with his legs and more
But can he pass?
Cam is damn quick and shifty and made game changing runs all season. 561 yards this year! Cole gets to run a play that works really well, Cam has to find a way to fall through the line for a yard over and over.

He is adequate bit I wouldnt go as far as to say he is "damn quick and shifty." A few of his long runs were simply QB draws or broken plays where the defense was in man and there was nobody within 20 yards. He doesnt break tackles, made 1 guy miss this year, and doesnt burst through holes. When he runs off tackle, he looks awkward and slows down to a near stop waiting for blocks to develop. And on the edge he easily gets tripped up. If he wasnt a QB, he would get 0 carries at running back. Defenses dont respect his running enough so thats part of the reason

Mildly harsh. Accurate? Dunno

Yet he was in a single back when Roehl put Cole in at Qb several times this year, including the Natty. SMFH.

What the fuck are all of you basing your assessments on?!? How are you guys so sure that CP is the answer? I've seen absolutely nothing compelling. What have you seen? That's my question.
If you want to just see something different, then just say THAT. But to make finite statements that Jesus is a left-handed answer to our supposed QB'ing woes...that's just silly.

One of the reasons why Roehl is a bad OC. Cole with TMac, Luepke or Kobe is much more dynamic. You gotta respect their ability

I dont think its harsh. He chalked up a ton of those yards after injuries started piling up. Luepke made his last carry vs Southen Illinois. Then TMac got dinged. Them Gonella transfered. Cole spraned his ankle. He ran because we ran out of bodies, which inflated his stats. But the offense wasnt nearly as good. We also started running way too much read option when Luepke was injured and went away from the i formation. I actually give Cam a ton of credit because he's not a dynamic runner but he worked his ass off and helped us win games with his legs. His effort was awesome. 67 carries over 5 games is a load for him and I think it took a toll on his body. He's not a huge guy. Without his running we wouldnt have gone as far as we did
