Re: 2010: Recruiting Summary
why the recent push in AZ? I'd take an equally rated player from WI, MN or IL any day over AZ or TX.

I thought I read something about a NDSU connection in AZ.

I too remember someone on here stated that one of the coaches had a connection to Arizona. As long as the player is talented and can make a difference I don't care where the player comes from.

That connection ended when Breske left.
Re: 2010: Recruiting Summary
AJ Cooper has been in AZ. Also, there aren't many 2 star quality players in the upper midwest at the skill position level. We obviously would and have gone after them. Example would be Gebhart in Sioux Falls. He is going to be a nice threat on the outside. I am excited about a couple of these kids. Good finds to you guys. Hopefully they become verbals soon!
Do you guys have any idea of how many spots we have still open? I think we have about 18 verbals so far? That would include Marcus Williams? 23 spots available? Maybe more as a couple kids are partial offers. Who are your favorites to become Bison?

I think you are correct on the 18 since Williams has to be included on this years list.
My favorites among those already verballed, and I realize this isn't what you asked, are the OL recruits. The JUCO for immediate depth and some really nice size for HS Sr.
I also find it interesting how the staff have clustered recruits at certain positions the past couple of years when there is obviously a lot of talent at one spot or two. Last year it was DL, this year OL appears to be the position of choice. I think being dominated on both sides of the ball by UNI the first year in the MVFC may have influenced that.
Re: 2010: Recruiting Summary
Yeah, I love the fact we have a massive offensive line of the future in this class. Some good kids in there. I see on Rivals that Dillon Forbes and Anderson have already signed (Jucos). That is a good sign.
