Of course the defense goes back to week 1-5 defense and can't stop anybody.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Game over. Carson with a terrible outing today as he throws his 3rd INT of the day. This most likely means he will not be back in Washington next year.
Personally I think he should retire.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
let Washington burn , take thier money Carson & get the F out...
thier defense didn't make a stop
OC didn't help Carson at all w play calls

You’re not reprehensible because you talk stats and opinions.
It’s because of the glee you take in presenting them.

The truth hurts. Which is why the excuses fly for Carson.

When has he presented facts. I have presented facts about his career but Wolfie just says he’s not good.
Carson was terrible today. Three ints which for the most part he had like 60 thru his first six years and mostly averaged around 7-8 a year besides his terrible year.

Why does he hate wentz so much? It is just a game and no impact on his life if he is good or not.

Guys like you are hillarious and back up everything I say about the people on this board. I present facts and you equate that to me hating him. Lol.
If I said Kirk Cousins isn't a winner would you get so worked up and try to defend him? Nope because common sense would kick in. But nobody here has that when it comes to Carson

I don't think it's that he hates Wentz as much as the fact that you can't give an honest assessment of Wentz on this board unless the assessment is that nothing is his fault. Any honest criticism of him and you are tossed aside as a hater.

yeah, but look at when those picks come. That has been my biggest criticism of him. Yes, he hasn't thrown many picks, but the ones he does throw come at the worst times.
Look at last year. Seven INTS
5 came when the team was behind or tied
6 came in the second half of games. 1 of those 6 came in OT.
Those are game killers.

I don’t disagree with u. That’s why he as most have said on here like a 15 rated qb. Although today he looked terrible. No should look at el chapos posts as he is just a cheerleader which is totally fine. But last year at Indy he was decent and I truly believe if not for the Covid dispute with the owner he would still be there. Wolfie just says look they got rid of him and that doesn’t really include all of the facts. It was more personal than production last year with Irsay.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
After a game like that, Carson might be out of the league next year. XFL if he's lucky

I'd bet you whatever you want that he'll be on an active roster next year. He's now relegated to be the veteran backup from here on out though after the egg he laid today.

There are pages and pages of people being critical of Wentz on this board, myself included when it's deserved. Wasn't able to watch the game today but by all accounts he was awful. Good luck finding anyone even here that doesn't think that. Most if not all here don't think he'll be a starting QB next year. Are most of us here biased and wearing green/yellow glasses? Yes, but save me the "can't give an honest criticism" stuff.
It's the people (one troll) saying he shouldn't be in the NFL or spouting off about locker room stuff that gets pushback. Ironically, it's the select few that hate on Carson that have compared him (obviously negatively) to Brady or Mahomes. The folks supporting him are the ones saying he's a mid-level starting quarterback who is probably now getting paid too much for his value.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
OC play calling was brutal.
Defense was a sieve.

Carson Wentz prays to God 5 times a day or even more than that. Why is not God helping him ? God seems to help QBs who never pray, but not Carson. May be Carson needs to pray 10 times a day ?

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Wolfie is not all wrong but he is a repetitive troll and a major tool!
Two years ago today Wentz was still on the Eagles. Bisonville was filled with joy when the Colts traded for him many predicting he would lead Indy to a Super Bowl within a few years and laughed at the prospect of Jalen Hurts being a capable NFL quarterback and that the Eagles dumpster fire would only be getting worse.
Funny how quickly things change in the NFL!

Its been quite the fall. Wentz goes from a Obama asking talking about the Wentz wagon to his Pro Bowl year 2 to his 3rd year where he was winning games by himself with literal practice squad receivers. 4th year he started to decline. 5th yeae he was flat out bad.
Goes to the Colts where he looked really good most of the year and then he stunk it up when it mattered
Then Washington
The media is harsher on a genuinely good guy than anyone I've ever seen. Its crazy
Not sure if its mental, physical or both. Dudes had so many injuries I think he might be unable to do what he used to and he is making bad decisions
Best case he is a veteran backup. It might be good for him since he obviously can't seem to handle the pressure of being a starter
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
I still think something happened when he got that concussion in the playoff game. He was never the same after that and he's getting worse. He was flat out awful yesterday, couldn't complete a simple swing pass. Guessing he will retire before he settles on becoming a back up.

I agree 100%. His pocket presence and reads have been complete shit since that playoff hit.

I think the NFL figured him out, and he hasn't been able to adapt his game. I saw an article today that said he has a relatively slow throwing motion that allows D-backs a little bit more reaction time. Not sure if true, but it would make a difference.

I disagree that they "figured him out" or that his throwing motion is too slow. It's more him not throwing with anticipation or accuracy. That first int yesterday was him staring down the WR, throwing late and leaving it inside. That ball has to be thrown before Mclaurin breaks and towards the sideline. The second int was a bad decision forcing it into double coverage and just a poor throw as well. The third int was an even worse decision especially on first down. None of those had much to do with defenses figuring him out or his throwing motion. He just isn't making good decisions and his accuracy is horrible. He completely wiffed on several easy swing passes almost like he lossed the grip on the ball at times.

These are all my feelings as well. It is a bummer as a fan of his buts it’s reality. He had some really good years. I guess I get irritated with national media nd people on this board that say he only had on good year which is so far from the facts as Wolfie says and as he had two good years with eagles teams that had poor wr and no oline play after his appointment injury. It’s not exactly coincidence that the eagles improved drastically by getting two top end wrs. They tried when Cw was there but they drafted horribly. As others have said he has not quite seemed the same since the concussion.

For what it is worth, here is a link talking about the throwing motion...

I know not about Wentz, but they're administering CPR to Demar Hamlin on MNF in one of the most frightening scenes I've ever seen. If you pray, please throw some his way

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Wentz needs a good O.C
put Wentz on 49ers Bills team or LA Rams and they easily win a super bowl

I suspect at this point he isn't getting that opportunity. In the long run, good for Carson, he got his money and is probably getting out of the league fairly healthy.

He could probably win a superbowl with the Vikings eh.

Apparently not the right fit to be a back up anywhere either.

Kirk literally just stands there, but he is one tough cookie as he always get up. The Vikes oline is jus plain pathetic just like Washington's.
Unfortunately Wentz may be mentally broken. I do wish he goes somewhere, if he even wants to, and becomes a great backup. No shame in that at all.

I remember the same thing happening to Wade Wilson back in the day with Minnesota. He just couldn't stand in there anymore and deliver.

Wasn't he the Vikings leading rusher on Sunday? Oops, nope, it was Mattison, who bested him by one yard.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Wentz would be a high level backup. Andy Dalton seems to be doing fine in that role.
