They aren't referring to Berry being recruited as a fullback, but instead Jake Pearce who both NDSU and UND are recruiting.

Here is a kid I have been REALLY hoping we go after. I attached a few articles. If you aren't on rivals...you should be. Basically this kid is going unrecruited due to his size. Read the article. I agree, you can't teach heart and this kid has it. Heavyweight State Champ as a freshman and sophomore? In a big wrestling state? How about being a NATIONAL CHAMPION...and he won it in FARGO!!! This is a kid who is undersized, but in one of those articles that is pushing 2 years old, he is 260 pounds. Kids get to our level by being 2 inches too short. Joe Mays was a good example. I have heard this kid is a real stud full back and DT. I think we go after this kid. Nobody is on him right now, and I am not saying just because rivals does not have him listed. I love some of his comments in the last article. You can tell he has heart and being that good of a wrestler would really help his potential lack of size.

The 6-foot, 260 pound Coleman is arguably the top returning football player in Class A, but the thing that has hurt him this spring is Division I coaches have questioned if has the size to play defensive tackle at the next level.

Omaha North's Ron Coleman will defend his national title in wrestling this July in Fargo, ND.
Coleman is still waiting for his first scholarship offer, and he's looking forward to proving himself this summer at some different football camps around the nation.
"Basically I just want a chance," Coleman said. "Everybody is saying 'he's not quite 6-foot,' and 'he's small.' But I'll tell you what, you put me against your 6-7 so called top recruits, and you'll see what's going to happen. I am getting underrated right now because of my height, but I say height can't measure heart and I'm just going to go out there and do what I can do."
Coleman has shown what type of heart he has over the last three years on both the football field and the wrestling mat.
As a wrestler, Coleman captured the 215 pound weight class state titles as both a freshman and sophomore and he took home the heavyweight state championship this past year. On a national level, Coleman won the national championship in the 215 pound weight class for all sophomores last July in Virginia and he'll compete in the national heavyweight division in Fargo, N.D. this upcoming July.
"When I go to this tournament, I'm going to be in the best shape of my life," Coleman said. "Come August, it's going to be a nice sight to see."
Gotta think Coleman, the 6'0 260 lb championship wrestler would have some serious leverage on the line. I hope NDSU goes after him too.
We can cross QB Jordan Rodgers off the list. He has signed his LOI to attend Vanderbilt and will enroll in a few weeks.
Another recruit from Arizona has an offer from NDSU. RB Michael Allen 5'10 170lbs from Chandler Hamilton HS in Arizona. Listed as a 2 star recruit by both Rivals.com and Scout.com. This past season he had 1401 rushing yards on 136 carries, 12 TDs, 16 catches for 241 yards and 1 TD.

Looks like he likes to run between the tackles out of the "I" formation. Tough runner. Good patience. Decent speed, with good burst. Good hands. (If this is the right guy.) It says he's a 16 year old senior.????
