I think he's tried with 3 teams now. I'm still in my Mom's basement. Same team, all these years.

It is comical listening to all the praise Heineke gets and how wentz got the exact opposite when their stats are almost identical. One national announcer the other day actually brought up that point and laughed at the two extremes.

Expectations play a major part in that. Carson was drafted #2 to start immediately for his team. Heineke was an undrafted free agent and camp guy who could best hope to be a practice squad player.

It's comical that people can't understand that one guy is winning and the other wasn't...

I agree with your point about expectations, but I'm not sure he was draft to start immediately. I recall they wanted him to develop for a year but then the former starter was either injured or struggled or something like that. Wasn't it Sam Bradford?

Sort of. At this point in his career it doesn’t matter anymore. Kind of like asking someone where they went to college and degree ten years into working. At this point it kind of doesn’t matter as what matters is what u have been doing. Washington is only going to give up a third rounder for him. He probably would have succeeded if the line doesn’t suck which it still does and hinders Heineke as well.
-

It was Bradford but the Eagles traded him to the Vikings for a 1st round pick in the preseason of Carson's rookie year after Teddy Bridgewater's knee blew up in practice and the Vikings thought they had aspirations of being a playoff team.

With those two players, there was still a much higher expectation coming into this season. Heineke had played above his expectations when given a chance and Carson had performed below (especially W-L) since the knee injury during the Super Bowl year.
They entered the league a year apart. Carson's salary this year is about $28m. Heineke's salary is $3.5m. The expectations are definitely different

Its a travesty that Washington didn't give Carson his job back. Taylor won because Wash's RB/OL and Defense actually starting playing!

Their OL has definitely improved and gotten healthier. I watched every snap this season and the defense has also improved.
Imagine Carson losing two fumbles if he was playing last night. That’s all we would hear today. It is a weird dynamic how most media dislikes Carson. Can’t figure it out.

Wrong side of political narrative for the last several years. I have been told "too much religion in government. " An interesting perspective, but Carson is not a mainstream thinker. Many people are uncomfortable with his views. As an announcer/celebrity not many clicks for calling someone a decent human being.

shut up with the religion bullshit. Ever heard a post game interview from 99% of players thanking Jebbbbbbus and/or their God? I have! It's probably more like 99.9999999 percent.
Get off that shit already.
If the MEDIA was PICKING on him it's not due to religion.
Lets get real, its the owner/receivers/offensive line/fan base, etc....obviously everything other than he himself. 3 teams in 3 years must be religion as to why Media doesn't like him and no NFL teams trust him.

What a crock. Carson's views are incredibly priviledged in our society.

Jebus really hates every one of Carson's owners, offensive line, defense, receivers, fan base, sport writers, city, runnning backs, etc. Man, he pissed off that Jebus guy for sure.

Yep, he’s an easy punching bag.
Fortunately for him he’s probably got about 3-4 figures more in the bank account than anybody posting on this board.
He’s a great person and a good quarterback. Starter or backup he’ll continue to make “fuck you wolfie” money as long as he wants in the league.

Now watch them start Wentz vs 49ers defense who has made most qbs look terrible this year.

Literally every QB in the league will make FU money compared to every single person on here.
You are all reaching hard....real hard. If you have to resort to how much money a NFL QB is making to respond, then you have already lost.
Cam Miller probably makes more than some of you on here. Now that is funny.

It’s “an NFL” QB.

Congrats. No actual way to respond intelligently, so you resort to grammar. Come up with something better if you can. I'm sure I can go through all your posts and find a grammar error. But, I won't.

Wow. Come on man, no one cares what he thinks or his beliefs. Carson's issues are wins and losses, period. Its the life of an NFL QB, you get too much blame for losses and too much credit for wins. The good news is if it really bothers him, he can distract himself counting his Scrooge McDuck size piles of money.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
I still don’t know why wolfie continues to bash him so much. Yes he is not perfect but he still has better stats thru 7 years than Big Ben did. He has thrown for 21k yards which is awesome. Crud in the 80’s we had guys throw only a couple of times a game.
I am proud of the guy. Has he gotten screwed in some ways yes, but it is what it is and he will make the best of it as Heineke has said he has been a great teammate. He is probably getting healthy and should enjoy the best seat in the house until he gets his chance again. Colts definitely got way better like the media said they would after they got rid of him. I am so glad for Irsays dumpster fire

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
I don't subscribe to the Washington Post but they had an article (that I couldn't read) where the headline implied they are not playing Wentz to prevent him from getting hurt so they don't owe him guaranteed money next season. I don't believe that his contract has guaranteed money left in it for injury in the last 2 seasons.
Rivera never truly gave Wentz a chance to see if he could grow with the team and show what Rivera thought he had traded for. The sad part is Rivera preventing Wentz from playing has hurt the team and possibly Wentz's career.

It wasnt about guaranteed money. It had to do with giving up draft choices if Wentz got x--amount of snaps.

Correct I believe it was 70% of the snaps. He will be released after the season. Hopefully he will find a good spot.

I believe they will still get a 3rd round pick. If he got 70% or over they would have gotten a second round.

Not sure it's Rivera. Listening to how they players talked about each QB, it's pretty obvious who they want to be their QB.

Yes, Wentz leads a TD drive right away. Looked really good and got rid of the ball quicker than usual. Threw a beautiful TD pass
-
Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
That was the fastest I've seen Wentz get rid of the ball.
I think he looked good and if he can consistently process that quickly and get rid of it, he could have a lot of success. I think he's always held the ball too long, so this was a nice development. With McLaurin, Samuel, and Dotson, he has some guys who can win 1 on 1 matchups quickly, so I'm interested to see if he gets a start next week. I would guess Heinecke is back starting next week, but we'll see

TD pass on Christmas Eve by Carson Wentz. perfect
he's back baby!
Heineke benched after fumble & 2 ints
Wentz will win the next 2 games, they'll get the 7 seed & Wentz will beat #2 Minnesota 1st week of playoffs
