I'll believe it when I see it. A meeting wont make them better athletes

This and the fact they spoke to the media about it too, wtf. I remember in years past we would hear rumors of a players only meeting or a captains meeting and it would be verified by someone sort of in the know but to give quotes to the media about it? Maybe it's nothing but to me it seems like more movement in a direction away from what the program was.

McFeely suffers from Schadenfreude. I have never met a reporter/columnist (outside of Joel) who takes such delight in other people, states (NoDak), cities (Fargo) or groups doing poorly. You can just tell by the "breathless" way he reported the beatdown we suffered at the hands of UND that he was thrilled. He even said "horns down" and the dynasty is over. I wonder what has happened to him in life that he is this way. I thought I heard he had a family member who graduated from NDSU. Face it, there are a lot of NDSU haters. But the good news for him is that there will likely be no all-expenses paid trip for him to Frisco this year.:frog::bow:

I do think that Kolpack has a degree of equanimity when discussing dramatic Bison losses and doesn't try to rub it in or make it more than it is. I think Kolpack is fair and balanced.
Re: Official Bison Podcast thread (local media, radio shows, national radio, etc)
I did not mean to include Kolpack. He seemed disappointed but not gleeful about the game.

I'm thinking that if you feel media coverage is biased (this will usually mean a negative) then perhaps you should deeply examine your own biases/beliefs first.

Oh, I have done that, very deeply and cancelled my Forum subscription.

I'm not sure that shutting out voices, even the perceived vile and hateful ones, is the right course. But that's just me.

You are right,,, it is just you. I don't expect any news source to be 100% positive (or negative) towards any person, institution or situation but I do like a fair and balanced view of everything. Fargo, the state of North Dakota, our government, NDSU and Bison football are all open to criticism and transparency. My husband and I were talking about this, this very afternoon. After 70/80 years of a very difficult and challenging life, I get sick and tired of a constant barrage of mean-spiritedness, looking for the bad in certain people and institutions, cutting down institutions beyond that which is just appropriate and gloating at misfortune of others (including Bison football). People complain about the divisiveness in this country but a few (not all) of the Forum columnists are as guilty as hell of contributing to that division. I am done with my tirade but I do actually get information from the Forum through sneaky sources (the public library, the odd newspaper left in a waiting room and headlines which I read for free). But I will not pay for that information. :praying::praying::praying::praying:
