Since the injury I have noticed an uptick in social media content for Wentz Brothers Outdoors. It seems Carson is preparing for life after football.
Go Bison!
I highly doubt this of all things will be the end of his career.

If Washington looks better at all without Wentz it may be the end of his starting career.

If they look the same or worse it may make sense just to start the rookie and save their second round pick.
All tho the GM, coach, and possibly even the owner might not be here next year anyway.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Carson’s replacements, Heineke and Matt Ryan, just threw pick 6s almost simultaneously.

It's way worse if it's a ginger interception eh.

Green Bay is in a tailspin and not a good measuring stick to evaluate opposing quarterbacks. Carson may be an above average NFL QB although I don't claim to be an expert at evaluating talent.

Irsay is an absolute tool....blaming their lack of success on Carson, then decide to bring in an old QB to revitalize the offense, only to have it blow up in their face, is poetic justice.

You got that right... from an article published Sunday morning.
Quote:
“I’ll tell you, he is a steely-eyed missile man,” Irsay said of Ryan. “I’ve been around a lot of leaders and I’d put him right up there with Peyton Manning. A really outstanding, tough guy who doesn’t back down. Often the best in fourth quarter and you don’t ever want to count out Matt Ryan. He’s a winner, he’s a fighter and our team is taking on that temperament around him, which is exciting. More will be revealed, no question about it. But we’re encouraged, we really are.”
Irsay thinks the Colts should expect to be hosting a playoff game in January.
“I believe we’re playing ourselves into being an outstanding team,” Irsay said. “And I think we can be the best team in the division. We just have to go and prove it.”

It really seems like Wentz's departure had nothing to do with stats/lack of success and everything to do with his vaccination status.

I wouldn't say nothing. He did have some untimely turnovers and was absolutely horrible the last week at Jacksonville. Fans turned on him early and I'm not sure they ever recovered. The fact several players tested positive during those last 3 weeks (including Carson) and missed time likely contributed to their performance. And Carson's "leadership" on COVID was probably blamed.

NFL owners are the worst part of the sport, give every team an ownership system like the Packers

Colin Cowheard was discussing NFL owners yesterday and how they shouldn't be involved. Story was Jimmy Johnson said Jerry Jones was fine the first 3 years as Jerry focused on the business side and building the brand. Once they started winning on the field, Jerry had to be involved and wouldn't allow Jimmy to have the success by himself.
Many great companies you know who the owner is, but the good owners will let the managers manage...

The NFL media hates Carson and they drive the narrative. He gets trashed no matter what by the NFL media.
Take the Wash game from the weekend. Heinicke played mostly horrible with a couple of decent throws and multiple turnover worthy plays. The running game, defense and special teams won the game but they are all gushing about how Heinicke provided something Wentz doesn't.
Wentz threw 4 TD's and played a very great game in the season opener and all the media talked about was the 2 interceptions.

Aaron Rodgers and Tom Brady are also getting trashed by the media this year...typically, they don't. Gee, wonder if it's because they have high expectations and are not winning?
Carson didn't get trashed when he was winning early in his career. Then he didn't win anymore, and what do ya know...
Maybe he could start winning and then he wouldn't get trashed and hurt your feelings.
Also, the media is not talking about him as much as people on here make it out. I literally watch sports talk on TV every day for a few hours (espn and Fox) and they almost NEVER talk about Carson. Like literally almost never ever ever.
But ya'll act like he's the focal point of media, lol. He's not.
A one minute segment about them saying he's overated every 2 weeks is not "trashing him all the time" as people on here think.

Dude there are more than just one player on the field. Carson is not perfect, but that teams and owner stink. There is a reason they have not won in 20 plus years.

Just wondering if you heard Colin Cowherd and his co-host, Jason McIntyre, both say that Carson's career is "Done. Toast." on today's episode.

Are they wrong? Maybe, maybe not. Did they spend 15 minutes talking about it? No.
I think most people would assume his career is a backup at this point. He can't stay healthy.

If Wentz is done as a starter and now becomes a backup he still has had an awesome career. Look at his career numbers 22K yards, 150 Tds, 63 Int. The dude has done really well. I grew up going to Dacotah Field where we passed like 7 times a game so to have an NFL QB with those stats it is truly unreal.

I agree, he wasn't terrible, but for some reason people think I hate him because I tell the truth. He can't stay healthy, and he's not a winner at the NFL level. Those are facts.
He's a top 100 QB all time passing yards in the NFL, nothing to sneeze at. And he made a shit ton of money, he can retire tomorrow and go hunting every day and chill at the lake.
People get butt hurt though if you say anything that isn't glowing. Weird.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Well I do think you are a little off as he has been better than what you have given him credit for. He is very similar to Cousins who needs a good team around him and you can't discount how hard it is to switch teams as it takes a year to really click with everything that is going on. He really only had one bad year at Philly.

How do you define a QBs leadership skills ?

The first place I don’t look is the lamestream media. And then I’ll look at what actual teammates say.

Carson is a Christian, Conservative guy who likes to hunt. Pretty obvious why the media treats him the way they do.

Yep—he’s really about everything that should be solid in this world, but, nope, lamestream/left stream media is on the attack. Even his HCs and team owners succumbed—>see career stats posted here by both haters and supporters.

Not being a Carson apolagist. Just stating some factors he has against him. By the way....big difference between Fox Sports and the news outfit that I'm guessing you're refering to.

Have you ever in your life watched a post game interview in pro sports? 90% of them thank Jesus, God/etc as their first comment.
Get into reality bro, being religious has nothing to do with anything. If that were the case, they would trash everyone in sports.
