My point is that if that Bears WR makes the catch like he should've, Commanders lose and there's a ton more heat on Wentz. But because that WR for the other team messed up, now he gets a free pass for a week. Other than the fact that people are dumb, why? Lol
My ultimate point being, I get frustrated when he has a good/great game and the team loses and people are on him about it being his fault (see: all of last year). Either way, win or lose, I don't get why people can't be objective about a professional's performance.

You would have seen a long dropped touchdown pass and several other drops that would have had a very positive impact on his stats and might have made what the Bears did at the end irrelevant. I do agree with a lot of what you said though.

Right, wrong or indifferent, it is part of the gig when your salary/cap hit takes up over 1/8 of the team's total payroll.

Carson is now 7-0 on Thursday night with 1542 yards 15 TD’s and 2 interceptions

It was a really odd game. The first two drives Carson's only potential pass attempts ended up in sacks where he didn't even have time to plant his plant leg. The game as bad as it was, was somewhat quick because both teams tried running the ball alot and the Bears had several long drives. Wentz didn't have many chances in the first half to do anything due to field position and sacks and when he did in the second half he made a great read and a pass that should have been caught for a 40 yard TD. Even Kirk Herbstreit mentioned on several third downs that nobody was open.

This is such an old and ancient argument when people bring up any pro/against argument with Wentz. The contract was signed NFL lifetimes ago, everyone knows that isn't the player he is right now or anything close to the next contract he gets/if he gets. The fact on Wentz in the last season and a half is really curious. He gets rated close to dead last in any type of non football expertise type poll there is. The fact is and football analysts know that he isn't anywhere near the worst QB in the NFL, and that's where the outside talk is. He would be a very good backup to have. He could also still resurrect his career if he was ever put on a team that was built solid on both sides and had pieces around him. He likely won't get that opportunity unfortunately.
People had Tua as a guy that couldn't play in the NFL in the offseason. They get an innovative coach, completely reshape their skill players around him, and he plays in system and all of a sudden people think he's the next greatest thing. 99" of NFL QB's could flourish in a system like that. These organizations like Washington and Denver that are looking for a QB to come in and save them without putting any type of culture in place for allowing for someone to come in and be successful there get everything they deserve right now.

Same as Titans game, if Wash just throws a quick slant with the ball & scores Wentz has 360 yard 3 tds and they are 2-3 going to Chicago where they would be 3-3 and Wentz is a National Story.
NFL is finicky yo .

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Do they think with surgery he can get back by the weekend or the one after that?
It sure seems like if Carson is out for multiple weeks the Commanders will lose most if not all of the games and then they might not play him again this season.
It also seems like if they lose all of those games with Carson out that Rivera most likely is fired.
All this most likely leads to Carson being released after the season and not being signed as a starter. Not even sure where he would end up.

I guess Carson has played his last down for the Commanders. They will be 2-8,2-9,or 2-10 when he is eligible to return. They won't play him again with the season over. Rivera will also be fired.

I wouldn't blame him. He has had some terrible luck and the media has been pathetic. I have tried to watch all of his games and have followed him since high school so I would be disappointed for sure.
I would think a backup role would suit his family nice though as he can heal his body and get paid a couple of million for acting like a coach and have no pressure.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
He is better than most starting QB's in the NFL but the NFL media has relentlessly attacked him and mocked him. If the best he can do is backup in the NFL for next season he should retire and do his hunting show with his brother.

People hate on him so much. ..
I was in the upper deck at Soldier Field last Thursday night and i might have been the only Wentz fan in the entire stadium. People around me ripped him constantly.

The dumb media keeps regurgitating that he only had one good year which is totally false. He carried the Eagles for two years after the super bowl go look at his numbers. During that time they had a very injured line and no WRs. Unfortunately most people can't think for themselves anymore they just listen to the stupid media and fall in line.

Media is hush on the fact that Dak has missed more regular season games due to injury than Carson.

Dak and Wentz have very similar career stats yet Wentz gets way more bashed. Dak has had a better line and better WRs as well.

"He will begin rehab immediately, but his timeline to return is uncertain. The team has not decided if it will place Wentz on injured reserve, but he will miss at least Sunday’s game against the Green Bay Packers at FedEx Field, according to a person with knowledge of the situation."
"Wentz suffered the injury late in the second quarter of Washington’s win at the Chicago Bears on Thursday, but he played the entire game without a splint or tape for protection. He said afterward that his hand was “a little sore” but added he would be “all right.”"
Hopefully gets back sooner than expected

If this fact doesn’t resonate with people and cause them the question EVERYTHING the lamestream media reports and says, I’m really hating where things are at even more.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
The media has their favorites and they have the ones that they hate for no reason. Unfortunately they decided to hate Wentz with an unbridled passion. He doesn't deserve any of the things that have been spewed about or at him. Carson is a much better person than all of them but unfortunately he is too good a guy to do anything but ignore them.

Re: What sort of thread have you made for us? A Wentz thread, if you can keep it.
Wentz was placed on short term IR today meaning he will miss at least the next 4 games. With Washington currently not having any NFL caliber QB'S on their active roster the Commanders will be 2-8 or worse by the time Wentz is eligible to return. It seems like this broken finger is a career ending injury for Carson.
Since the injury I have noticed an uptick in social media content for Wentz Brothers Outdoors. It seems Carson is preparing for life after football.
Go Bison!
