Let's be honest. He wasn't the choice, Ohio University let him withdraw to save face.
Glad he's staying.
Proud he made the short list.
But don't buy the bullsh#t.

F#ck the haters.
That's one way to look at it but I really think Rob Port wants to be seen as "responsible" and the "hero" for pushing Bresciani out the door. It will elevate him in the eyes of his sorry crowd of NDSU Haters.
Also when it was first announced that Bresciani had applied, Port wrote a column, hoping that DB got the job (to paraphrase) then hecan become Ohio's problem.
So for Port, it is not really good news.
It is possible DB withdrew to save face but there may have been some pep talks from other NDSU supporters, convincing him to stay as he is such an expert on budget issues. So could have been a combination of several things. In any case, I am glad he is staying, at least for now.
I will say, it really seemed like a long time for this Ohio selection process. Maybe it is always this long, just seemed really a long wait...
Ohio is taking the Female. #EqualRights
New Gov. just gave Neset another term on the SBoHE.
Hey, oil hacks have a lot of money to contribute to things.
