Lol...that rivalry doesn't even exist without the FCS playoff system. And SDSU is by far a bigger rival.

True, but it still existed after it started. Now if we go FBS, all we have to do is get some team to Fargo and have them beat us by 10 points and trust me, they'll be a rival.

And I think JMU probably evoked far more fan passion and hatred then SDSU. I believe in the early FCS years SDSU was referred to by McFeely and a few others as a "manufactured" rivalry.

UNI evoked way more hatred than little brother did/does too.

Until they started outright sucking, that is.

Now they're irrelevant.

And they weren't even close to being considered a rival when we joined the MVFC. After we traded a few wins and loses plus a few arrogant fans like "Gotta Earn It" they became a pretty big rival. And as you pointed out they aren't all that much of rival now only because we beat them every time. About the time they became irrelevant we found JMU

Rivalries contingent on the other team being good, it probably wasn't a rivalry to begin with.
