Yes. Unless he gets designated for return (I believe teams can do this for one player per year), my guess is that John is done for the year and will get paid while rehabbing for 2017.

That's a very encouraging sign.
Re: *OFFICIAL* John Crockett Thread
Green Bay's WBAY Sports Director just said IR,with a Injury Settlement with waivers................
Re: *OFFICIAL* John Crockett Thread
This sucks. Was really hoping to see Taz play. I'm hoping another team gives him a real shot. How bad is the shoulder injury? Would suck to miss the whole year. RB's have a short life span as it is.
Re: *OFFICIAL* John Crockett Thread
What a shame Johnny couldn't stay healthy this year. With Lacy headed to the IR and Starks out indefinitely after knee surgery he would've been able to take the feature back position in Green Bay by the balls over these next few weeks. As it sits tonight the Green Bay RB situation is either playing a WR, a RB that was with a different team 4 days ago, or a RB fresh off their practice squad who didn't even play a snap in the preseason.

I was thinking the same thing. He'd have the starting position all by himself. I hope he gets another shot with the team when he's back to 100%. I have no idea how that works with his injury settlement.
Re: *OFFICIAL* John Crockett Thread
FWIW, the packers can pull one player from the IR in any given season. With their RB issues if he is healthy, he might be the move to make.
Re: *OFFICIAL* John Crockett Thread
Anyone know how bad his shoulder injury was/is? Did he have surgery?
