Money will win out when compared to winning, playing time or Comprable NFL exposure. Why would we waste money to compete with FBS when we are only at the FCS level. Makes no sense.

Who in the FCS is going to compete with NDSU to offer $25k per year ? What NDSU donors are going to shell that kind of dough out for a FCS NDSU. They won't get free advertising, but it would be a heck of an advertising campaign. 100 players all promoting products on social media is really good exposure.

That’s a lot of money to shell out to compete for recruits but not actually compete on the field against the teams we are recruiting against. The more these NIL deals evolve the less relevant we will become if we do not start matching the deals other G5 teams are offering. I feel like this makes our move to the G5 even more dire. We really will die at the FCS level if we don’t move up.
