Boise State is absolutely an afterthought. I’ve lived in DFW for 8 years, college football Mecca, and not one person has ever mentioned Boise State. Ever.

I bet nobody in Dallas ever metioned the Jacksonville Jaguars, Seattle Seahaws or half of the NFL teams to you either. Just seems like a weird random thing to discuss wirh strangers

But ive been tailgating for a decade and USC has never come up either. Maybe a few Big Ten teams we were playing

I don’t know what point you’re trying to make lol. Other than being completely wrong about the relevant schools.

I didn’t say no one cares, I said no one in 8 years has ever brought up Boise state. Clemson, Ohio State, Bama, Georgia, Oregon get mentioned monthly during FB season by people who aren’t fans of those schools.

DFW is crazy about college football. Women arguing about recruiting classes level of crazy. No program outside the top 10 (or schools based in TX) gets much recognition unless something outstanding happens. Therefore, we’re all an afterthought. Sorry

Of course the NFL teams get brought up. There’s too much parity and not enough teams for them to get forgotten. I think you guys forget how football crazy Texas is. Even then the G5 don’t get mentioned unless there’s a smartass comment about last night’s MACtion on a Wednesday morning.

Thanks for proving my point. USC has not been relevant and therefore hasn’t been brought up. Ohio State, Alabama, Clemson, Georgia, etc. all get brought up when I go back to ND for tailgating.

Can someone please explain what we're arguing about and what side I should be on?

I've never heard anyone discuss Ohio State during a tailgate. The only teams that are discussed are the Vikings, Packers, Gophers, SDSU, UND, and whatever FBS game is on our furture schedule. Maybe JMU or Sam Houston every once in a while. Nobody here really gives a shit about Bama
