A new and better FBS thread

An afterthought? I would say that is nonsense..Is NDSU football just an afterthought with your fans? I don't understand why you would just dismiss the vast majority of schools ..Do you think their fans are stupid to keep following their teams, year after year..

We’re talking nationally, bud. No need to get offended. Nobody in Texas here cares about NDSU or any MWC programs.

They know about them, but they’re an afterthought.

I think that's taking it pretty far. Of course every school has their fans. NDSU is the most successful FCS program ever and our media contract is a rounding error compared to the big boys. Look at all the exposure just the talk of the Power conference realignment is generating. Like it or not, USC/UCLA moving to B1G and Notre Dame considering it is a bigger story than everything NDSU football has done in history.

Agreed..But to label everybody as an afterthought is not even close to accurate..

In comparison to the P2, and all the self-generated media they can create, what would you call everyone not P2?

I call them college football teams..

As far as I know, there no football only conferences so to be fair I will refer to them as Athletic Departments.

So..... the conversation has devolved into semantics again. I take it that there's really nothing new to share?!?

Ask the typical fan of P5 team to name 10 G5 schools and their mascots and I doubt many could. I'm drawing a blank for most of the MAC and CUSA teams.

just the chaos of teams switching conferences, this should trickle down we hope

I can name every FBS team, as most FBS fans could. I've been a FBS fan since day 1. and it's been 15 years since 2007 and NDSU 1st Gopher game with 60,000 fans.... with our success in 2011-2014 we should've parlayed our success instead of just trophy chasing

The guy who posted that isn’t an NDSU fan. He's a UND fan

But he does have some decent points both afterthought is not accurate. Most people dont consider Boise an after thought
