However, the G5 is not in a different stratosphere than NDSU. NDSU has ascended higher than any FCS program ever. That was NDSU's doing, not a credit of the FCS. We are the only one to do this. It's tempting to assume this, but I don't believe you are correct. There will still be multiple tiers, and FCS will be officially 3rd (unofficially 4th). I think it would good for ND for The Bison to be FBS and you guys to be FCS, assuming you can afford it. After we leave, it should be less of a problem for you, because the bar will drop significantly. Heck, you will have an opportunity to compete once we're gone ... Friday smack.
